You said it has a 2Mp front-facing camera, but the main 8Mp is already front-facing like any regular camera. Presumably you meant to say that the 2Mp camera is front-MOUNTED which is not the same as front-facing.
Pretty obvious really, just compare it to the rear-view mirroe in a car!

What irritates me about Android is it's jerky scrolling, including the browser, even in phones with the newest and fastest processors. I am surprised novody ever talks about that. Compare it with the cheapest Windows Phone, on the same websites, it's buttery smooth.

They need to price and release date. Needs to be cheaper and released earlier. Other than that, it's almost perfect.
If they release it this year, it will be top of the line.
If they release it next year, it will yesteryears technology.

This is just another indoor gadget. A mobile phone needs IP67.

Off topic: I missed Samsung making great cameraphones. Can anyone still remember the Pixon and Pixon12? They may be not smartphones but they are still one hell of a cameraphone. I miss that.

5.3in getting a bit big to be a phone, it'll cover half your whole face, no pun intended.

Screen size is too big for a phone.

and too small for a tablet.

there is no point of making it.

XX, 30 Sep 2011Loudspeaker muffled when placing it on a level surface? That sucks.Just turn the device over......sorted.
Or, as I found with the Galaxy S, the slighty muffled speaker add bass and makes music (rock at least) sound better!!

Pre-ordered this, then went for N9 after noticing the pentile.

At this price point, there really shouldn't be 2nd grade solutions like that...

This is almost exactly the size of the Dell Streak 5. I have one now and it takes a little getting used to at first, but the amount of info it can show is great. The only drawback to the Streak is the weight. So, with this coming in so much lighter, this is a definite must-have for me.

The Note's width is just on, or over, my one-handed thumbable limit, but my office pants can fit a device with around an extra inch/25 mm of length, so maybe a slightly narrower, much longer tabphone/phonetab/phablet/phoblet(?) with a 6.5" screen would be nice. Or something like the Sony S2, but with 3 thin, hinged screens, 2 enclosed like a clamshell, and the third facing out on the outside of the clamshell. In phone use, you use the outside screen. For tablet use, you fold out flat the 3 screens to make one big screen. Imagine 3 Galaxy S IIs joined together side-by-side with hinges (making about 7.5" diagonally), having only one with a camera bump, and 3 USB On-The-Go ports!
