finiky, 09 Nov 2011can some one please advise me if a 3G phone works with a 2G network? my country Pakistan is li... moreit will work, dont worry, 2g its for low data speed, voice and text messages, and 3g for you know... web stuff and good data transmission speeds. if i were you, just to make shure i would go with a phone carrier and ask which gsm band they use and which they are going to use (its allways good to know where are you going to step)
but dont worry, i think the n9 can handle it ;)

atleast gsmarena shud have mentioned some bummers such as no alphanumeric keypad in messaging plus the biggest bummer is that the led flash cannot be used during video recording..i bought it... :(
now tell me its not a xenon its a dual led flash but i cant use it...whats the deal nokia
luckily enough ive found a led flashlight app that i run in the background then i open camera to shoot videos and it helps..otherwise the n9 videos rec is a letdown by not allowing the led light....
and sometimes the still camera doesnt focus on objects itself..not even when i touch to focus... :/ quite slow...
anybody got same issues????
ACI, 31 Oct 2011Hi all! I have 2 quick, but important questions, at least to me: Does this phone have multi-l... moreno russian...and no alphanumeric..even i needed alphanumeric in portrait..but no... :(
i work in a call center, for (microsoft), and i have fellow budies that work on the same place but for nokia... i look at the n9, and really fell sorry for him...
i will never, ever get a nokia with windows *****, prefer to sell my soul to the devil, that sftware is so *****, and there is almost no suport for it. everybody knows theyr software is bad, buggy and overpriced. just like the fruit one.
i will buy myself a E7, and the N9 as well, and i will take care of my N9 untill i die, that phone doesnt deserve to die in that way because of the Elop.
can gsmarena correcT?
there is a fm radio, but its no ready, hardware is there.
flash is doable, firefox mobile can do it
document edition. google docs work, but freoffice should work
I think its a great phone regardless its imperfections... Cause People never cease on finding one.
i put on my n9 a software with manual equalizer. the sound improved dramatically, it sound as powerful as iphone 4 now
"Without users, developers won’t be too interested in MeeGo either. And the limited number of apps is the platform's biggest weakness."
Very true indeed....
I'm one of the few lucky enough to own this phone. It is an absolutely pleasure to use and the feature and service integration is top notch. It is truly a horrible tragedy that more people won't get to experience this operating system. The phone truly is as close to perfect as it appears.
Hi all! I have 2 quick, but important questions, at least to me: Does this phone have multi-language support out of the box(need Russian) and if this phone not only has Portrait QWERTY, but also Alphanumeric T9 as most Nokia phones have?
MJ, 30 Oct 2011To many smartphone nowadays uses Windows for their Phone OS. NO more individual identity. ... moreJust using swyping motions may seem innovative but it will get annoying when you're flicking through songs and keep closing the app. Metro UI is very nice. Windows Phone is smooth and simple. Not enough developer support for the N9 either. It was dommed even before its release.

The N9 is very unique, it is a limited edition of elegance, simplicity, identity and one heck of an OS. And if you own one, you'll be the same.
I'd rather have this phone than those incoming Nokia Windows based OS phones (Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 710).
