I was really excited about getting this phone... The Fact that you can't Add custom Label to number in the contact a really big deal... So when i synce my Contact From my Gmail there custom label are not going to synce .. just Like WP7.. These OS's need to step out the stone age !!
AnonD-397, 17 Oct 2011Differences is CLEAR!
530 play (14 MPolys/s)
535 play (28 MPolys/s)
530 is TWICE slower t... moreBoth the 530 and 535 do 14M polygons at 200MHz. 535 has slightly better fillrate which only makes a difference at 1024x768 (iPad). Only other difference is directX 9 support on the 535, which makes it usable under Windows. Intel produces the 535 under the GMA500 name.
FYI, 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPad, they all use SGX535. 540 does 28M polygons. Also, 3GS is clocked at 100MHz and only does 7M polygons. Read up more.
Can't imagine Nokia selling many of these. Typical consumers probably won't buy unless he/she is a big Nokia fan. Every company is selling dual cores and 1080p recording - even SonyEricsson is late to the party with its Xperia Duo. Is it true N9 has no HDMI out, no USB-OTG and no microSD? Even the older models N8,E6,E7 have OTG & memory card support. And they priced it so expensive? Personally I think Nokia's marketing or R&D team might be out of touch with the real world
You know, Nokia may not be marketing or advertising the N9 alot, but here, in Singapore, I've seen pretty decent fanfare. I was walking around this afternoon when I saw a bunch of ninjas(!) giving out some sort of flyers, with the whole get-up, in black from head to toe, the whole shebang. Turns out, they were giving out shuriken-shaped flyers advertising the N9, inviting people to come to the nearby Nokia store to take a swipe, and claiming a free shuriken-shaped magnet.
I'm not sure what ninjas have anything to do with the N9, but it sure is creative, and attention-grabbing, I'll have to give them that. And with the price of the N9 being the same as Galaxy S2 currently, and cheaper than iPhone 4, I think it's gonna do decently well, here in Singapore, especially once the price drops a little bit after a while, since it's only just available here. Too bad there are too many iSheeps here also.
AnonD-252, 17 Oct 2011N9 have better camera lens, but S2 do not have a "bad" camera, it is more than good ... moreIt's not specs, but it's the performance that counts and that's where the N9 is different form the SGS II
premium phone. i love it. Yea it has very few apps. but what you gonna do with those. i believe all the android guys dont use most of the app after they use it for a week. i have samsung s2 also and it's good but i just had problem and it's now sent for the repair. so, if you want long lasting phone and very good build quality then go for n9.

AnonD-252, 17 Oct 2011N9 have better camera lens, but S2 do not have a "bad" camera, it is more than good ... moreThat depends which country you're in. N9 is actually cheaper(and lasts longer) than S2 in some places, but of course you'll be waiting for Samsung phone with it, lol.

S2/Android also have good photo editor and video editor and free life time gps turn by turn navigation!
N9 display is PenTile!
There are no viruses on Android, and both Android and MeeGo are based on Linux!
Samsung call and buildquality today is excellent!
S2 have native apps for social integration, and calls!
N9 have the good looking Harmattan skin!
Software for the FM-radio should have been ready when N9 was released, and Flash 11 in stock N9 browser is still only rumors, and Alien-Dalvik still demand that all Android apps have to be "repacked"!
S2 is a lot less expensive than N9, and have a lot longer list of specs!

N9 is too expensive and hav... moremost of your opinion is true (i am sad about lack of USB OTG) however MeeGo SDK says there is support for fm radio hardware. However absense of radio application can not be explained. Same was the case with N900 - no fm radio, but application became available in "store" shortly.
how is swipe revolutionary? iPhone 4S can make calls without bumper case!!that is revolutionary!! ;p
I think if Nokia release n9 worldwide without spending a dime on advertising even then they can have lots of sales but I think the opportunity cost is already taken care of by Microsoft.
also I think Microsoft understands the US customers better than Nokia and knows that American people respect you only if you treat them like c@ap!! eg. delay anna and not releasing n9 at all. apple does it and now Microsoft its making Nokia do it as well.

N9 is too expensive and hav... moreIt still has got better camera than sgs2 and iphone4s,bluetooth(not functioning on iphone),non destructive photo editor, video editor, swipe os.free life time gps, turn by turn navigation, excellent display, nokia's famous call and build qualuity, very nice and decent native apps for social integration and calls and many more.and on top of that it is neither virus infested like android or suffocating like ios of apple. It is the best smartphone out there.deal done.
On top of that two major upgrades coming soon which will take care of all the points raised by you,and will add extra features as well.So go rush before all N9 is sold out,and you suffer with your infested or suffocating OS.

530 is TWICE slower than 535, are you blind?
MeeGo will be replaced by Samsung-Intel backed "Tizen"!
N9 is too expensive and have too many fatal "problems": No hdmi-out or usb-on-the-go, and 720p video-recording is bad and No text-reflow in the browser makes it unusable and No memory card slot and No Flash 11 in the browser and Only Micro-sim and No software for the FM-radio-hardware(=probably because MeeGo is too difficult when adding hardware...) and No replacable battery and No document-editing app at all and there are very few apps, and only those Android apps that have been "repacked" can be used on N9-MeeGo!
I will wait for the first "Tizen" from Samsung, because Nokia MeeGo have no future!
Sun Down, 17 Oct 2011Both are awesome in my opinion.WP7 is disgusting compared to MeeGo. It's clunky. Those tiles look aweful. Plus, who would have predicted that in the future Nokia phones would lack mass storage mode. WP7 is crap.

A few comments. The phone has FM radio hardware, so i think that we will see the radio in the next update. By the way a big update is on the way containing 3500 updates and new features. http://mynokiablog.com/2011/10/15/3500-improvements-coming-to-nokia-n9-update-windows-8-so-easy-for-a-2-year-old-to-use/
