Great article, I am always interested in cell phone cameras performance, but I knew that iPhone 4S is the best out of 8MP (I have already seen cameras comparison)

Xperia Arc S is the best overall:
The best color rendering
The best detail resolve (after the iphone S)
Not overexpose or over sharpness like the Samsung
The best low light condition performance (thanks to ExmorR sensor)
The best 720p video recorder with good compression to save memory
The best camera options and UI

n9 is not the right phone to defend nokia you should have used nikon n8 instead :P by using camerapro on 8 megapixel and 100% image quality it would destroyed the other phones...have a look at your own test http://www.flickr.com/photos/michaelparis03/6332342608/in/photostream.you said iphone 4s has better detail how do you call that then?

well ... N9@64GB is some 33% less expensive than iPhone@64GB. So I guess it is a nice consolation to know it has at least a better camera.

I don't get it..
The Galaxy S2 has quite cold/greenish colour hues, yet gets praised for accuracy.
The N9 has warmer and more saturated colours, and gets rebuffed for saturation.
The 4S is TOO saturated compared to the N9 (about twice the saturation of the N9), yet also gets praised for accurate colours.
GSMArena, you can't decide which colours are more natural and which aren't? Out of the three, I will take the N9 every time. Because the 4S is OVERsaturated and the SGS2 is UNDERsaturated.
What kind of goggles are you using to look at these, send them over to me so I can try them.

To back that up I recommend taking a look at that last shootout which had LG 2X I believe compared to Arc and SGS2, where Arc was clearly the best camera there.
Nevertheless I love these camera comparisons. You should do them more often :-)

I think there's something wrong with that Arc S. I used an Xperia Arc (without S) and it shoots superior pictures. Also, it shines with night photos which weren't included in this comparison which is a bit unfair, since it's hands down its biggest positive.

S2 have a better camera than both Arc S and N9, even though Nokia and SE fans always say their N9, or Arc S, have better cameras! :)

I really don't understand why there is an obsession with which phone has the best camera. As long as you can take a decent picture, who cares?
All these top phones and some mid price phones can
take very good pictures. End of....

i hope that conclusion will arrive soon. this article is nowhere on the site-not in news, not in reviews, not in blog section. also it didn't appear in my rss feed for gsmarena. it is shown olny in a tiny window in top right corner of the site. it has be changed. btw very good comparision - as always :)
