      Is it just my phone or does this phone lack a notifcation light for missed/incoming calls/low battery?

      My wife's HTC Mozart has a green blinking light for missed calls and a Red one when the battery is low.

      The second thing I find odd is the ringer doesnt mute if I place the phone face down during an incoming call. Again is it just me?

          I purchased this device in India , its a good device brilliant interface , I am loving it.

          There are some limitations with the os for eg

          * Zune has no equalizer
          * Transferring contacts from your old device is a nightmare but its manageable
          * specific to this device i don't see Network selection mode (Gsm/UTMS) Default is Dual mode ( I believe this consumes lots of battery). This option exists with Nokia Lumia 800 / HTC Mozart. don't understand how can samsung skip this.

          Any one has got work around for this problem please suggest

                  when anroid OS is free of cost then why are anroids with same specification more costlier than windows phone ? for example compare anroid galaxy s plus 1.4 ghz with samsungs omnia w 1.4 ghz. I know that there are few additional features in anroids but omnia also has some additional features. then why are anroids more costlier than windows phone ?

                    I prefer to buy NOKIA LUMIA 800 than this phone even it has better technologies. I believe in Nokia. Nokia phone is tougher+++ than Samsung. 1 of my Nokia phone age is about 4 years now still working normally(I have dropped it more than 100+) xD

                      I salute GSMarena on very detailed and objective reviews but in this case I mind one issue - the comment about this device and Omnia 7. Even looking at the specs on this very site you can conclude that the old Omnia 7 has only a slightly bigger screen (which is not always more popular than better screen density, since the technology is the same - SuperAmoled). Everything else is in favor of the W - Gorilla glass, Faster CPU (1 vs 1.4), Faster GPU (200 vs 205), front facing camera (none on Omnia 7), better video recording (720p@25 fps vs 720p@30 fps), preloaded Mango etc. Yes, Omnia 7 can be bought with 16GB storage but there is a 8GB model too. So in my humble opinion saying that is not as good as Omnia 7 just because of a bit smaller screen is not a sound conclusion...

                                I compared pics and video from this phone to my beloved Sony Erisson K750 and there was no comparison; The K750 wiped the floor with the Samsung. I was so surprised I did the test again; same result.

                                  This one is better than other WP solution since it support video call via 3G network.

                                        Focus flash review does mention gorilla glass , Omnia W review does not mention whether it's there or not... Online blogs etc say there is no gorilla glass in Omnia W (which if true would be ridiculous!)
                                        I have been fortunate enough to have it in my Wave and know just how releived you feel when you hear something crack against the screen of your latest toy but find no damage
