i prefer better to put 50 bucks over the price of this toy and take a real smartphone with good reselling price. i had 2 huawei and practically i gave them at half of the price i buyed them after only 3 month of use. reselling is a diaster at this brand, no one wants it

AnonD-8700, 20 Jan 2012Looks like the writer has soft corner for Huaewei. It is actually made in china not ASSEMBLED/... moreLook at the specifications and then look at the price. Show me a phone with similar specifications at the same or lower price range.

Show me a phone at this price point that has a 1900 mah battery. Any? It gets 8 hours of intensive use according to Engadget. That's as much as a GS2!

AnonD-8700, 20 Jan 2012Looks like the writer has soft corner for Huaewei. It is actually made in china not ASSEMBLED/... moreSo you are trying to distance those brands who are assembled and manufactured in China from those like Huawei who are made in China. I should say that it is pratically the same. Huawei has parts from most other euro-american-asian cooperators who make electronic parts like SoC, camera modul, card reader etc. So you are the type of guy who estimates the product by name but not for it's real value from good components and usability of device. This is their 2011. top spot device, you don't need dual core for Ice cream sandwich to be fluid and usable. I also know thet this year it is going to be quad core and 720p screen for all android high end devices from samsung,lg, sony, htc. So the type of screen isn't that important because most of these brands except samsung still put ips lcd or ah ips lcd displays. About RAM it is ok because most of todays top phones has 768 MB or 1 GB. Battery is supream for 1 core CPU and middle end device . For 8 MP modul you say "8 mp camera with 720p recording..huh.. samsung/LG/moto/htc have 1080p recording with same mp so surely it is a pseudo 8MP not real one." If you read specification of this device you must know that it uses Snapdragon S2 CPU or Qualcomm MSM8255T Snapdragon 1.4 GHz with GPU Adreno 205 which suports only 720p 30 fps. Now I shell give you two links to see the same module and performance of it in other brands: Motorola XT615-http://www.gsmarena.com/motorola_xt615-4348.php
Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S- http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_ericsson_xperia_arc_s-4134.php

Huawei will have to walk a long way till they get stable ground in this business. Problem is that so far their phones have look that is high-class for Chinese market, but prices are not "chinese market friendly". Unfortunatelly for other companies they have more than enough resources to succeed.
