i am a great galaxy series fan, but i have to say that i was a little dispsapointed when i saw the live coverage. i wonderee like every one where is the top notch technology that i am expecting from samsung!
After several hours now and after i have calmed down i figured out it is all about the price, this phone will be on sale by 575 euros! already that is very expensive, what if they added the pentile screen, the 12MP camera and the metalic cover! this phone could easily be 650 euros.
So what i guess is that they release varaiants from it later with some enhanced features for a limited number of users.

I think these benchmarks are hardly relevant for 99.9% of consumers. Where are they going to make a difference in the real world. Certainly the SIII is interesting but not a big thing like the SII, which people are now bored with.

This is so ugly.... round shape of the edge makes it even worse... makes it look like a fat stumpy hideous thing!
I came here to see if people have the same Idea and yep, majority agree with its ridiculous design!

It's so funny how the Galaxy S2 went through the same type of criticism, after replacing the Galaxy S... Honestly this is a "HUGE" improvement, to the S2, and I mean HUGE... if you look at the design, the detail of the package(HD screen, S Voice, Stay track(eye thing :-p, quad core, and larger battery than it's direct competitors... I am Buying this, I have a Galaxy S2 and that is brilliant... they have improved the bar and set new standards with this one... If you like it buy it, if not move right along, but i know for sure that once you taste Android you'll never purchase another operating system like iOS or windows...
GALAXY S3 is the best... period!!!

being a proud user of S2 for last nine months, I was expecting something really amazing S3 but was totally disappointed.Except for a few cosmetic changes and quad core you can't force S2 users to upgrade to this phone. We S2 owners shall be more than happy with ICS update coming on its way( already avaialable in few countries)rather than making a big hole in our pockets (pricing) to upgrade for S3. I will wait for another 6-8 months till we see some fierce competition among topliners. Till that time Galaxy S2 rocks. ps: Those who don't own S2 can definitely try out this one they will be more than happy... enjoy the life.

Waiting to taste that latest touch wiz on my s2,i know that samsung will take forever to update it but i never rely on them ,as the moders like always will port it :P viva cyanogenmod :P

rag, 03 May 2012i am so many month waitng galaxy s3 super but really hurtng this s3 just 8mp no useNo use? wait for the samples so then you can say if its camera is useless (maybe you need a bigger resolution to take pictures of small things that you have).
As a photography enthusiast, I prefer a lower resolutions with a good lens than a big resolution sensor with a crap lens. Samsung makes good phones with low cost, and this strategy put them at the top of the market. So why change it now?

when one sells a high-end cell, this device has to be "high-end all" and as always samsung is again wrong in the building in materials and design. It's like putting a Ferrari engine in a VW chassis, still do not understand this failure samsung, anyone who compares the HTC x one with this you will know.
Ok, everything else very nice. Someone asked how much is the cost of manufacture of a sg3 against a htc x one for example? yessss my friends! Samsung makes a lot of money!! please samsung learn from htc or motorola!!!!

Good to see Android finally catch up with fluidity of iOS and Windows Phone, but only with a quad core whereas other can perfectly do it with a single core (pun intended).

Not regretting buying an s2 in March
