Nokia 808's perfomance in everyday use is in no way a match for Apple's iPhone or Samsung's Galaxy S III or even Galaxy S II for that matter. When you set the extraordinary camera aside there are phones that cost half as much as Nokia 808 and can perform better in everyday use.
Nokia is making one of their last efforts to attract customers and provide the networks and their partners with something that can be advertised and sold. At least in that case a 41 MP camera will probably make the sell easier than any possible reason to buy a Lumia Windows phone. I really think that Nokia 808 will find some buyers willing to spend the money needed to experience the difference of the 41 MP camera but I also think their numbers will be below Nokia expectations.
ahmed, 27 Jun 2012my dear , in this link , compare colors between this 3 cameras sgs3 nokia 808 and xperia s . ... morenope sgs3 & sony have washed out colors & lack of detail...the yellow tint you noticed are the details of the skin...& perhaps you don't really know how to use the photo compare tool...maybe what you saw is the full res 38 mp sample..not the 8mp pureview sample, the one that they used in the blind test...there's an option to change the scaling..you can see it at the center part...try to see "scaled to 8MP"..at this resolution, 808 is much realistic, full of life & detailed..
ahmed, 27 Jun 2012i see sony camera is the best in colors ,then sgs3 then n808
this my opinionouwwwwww yeeeaaaaahhhhhh??????????
chech this out:
the image size is 3MP resize from 5MP. if you would, you can compare with another sony or samsung photo image, even with 12MP sony xperia S.

Are you for real? The N8 sold what it sold last year. Androids and iOS were not there yet last year?! How biased can you be to completely distort reality..it's actually funny:)

Sausage, 27 Jun 2012OK, you can think so but you can't change my mind and I can't change yours so let's stop this,... moreNo need to argue in this first place....since the majority voted for (E)N808PV in the blind test...& PV won....if they still argue, why don't they make their own blind test instead......but we still respect those who liked the photo quality of their camera phones...that's their own personal taste anyway...& we can't change that no matter what...what they have to admit is that N808PV is the winner in the blind test..which means the majority(perhaps some are experts in photography) likes the photo quality of this phone...cheers...

ahmed, 27 Jun 2012i understand you , iam not samsung fan ididnot buy any samsung phone , my phone now is n8 and ... moreColor is a matter of taste.
If a particular object his color is gray and after a photo with a camera gets some blue color , then you can say you like blue not gray, but in reality his gray color.
Imagine ordering a blue car car from a catalog shot by iPhone or Samsung, And at the end you get a gray or light blue car because it is the true color of the car!
Accuracy is important, color you can add or change after a you take a picture.

There's 808 blind test. Sorry I couldn't make it a link when writing by phone. But look at it. Doesn't E(808) and A(N8) have almost same colours and B(SGS3) is way too saturated and yellowish?
I thought that already before knowing right phones, so it doesn't affect to my opinion.
BTW, I guessed them right before results were revealed(without comparing any other photos). Proud of it =D
UK carriers are not even gonna carry this device. Nokia is in the crapper
Anonymous, 26 Jun 2012After seeing the screens of the Nokia 808 PureView and Samsung s3 i decided, Nokia 808 PureVie... morei understand you , iam not samsung fan ididnot buy any samsung phone , my phone now is n8 and i prefer mobile that have good camera , the only thing i object to is the colors , only colors , iprefer colors of sgs3 than 808
The first it's should be its the last its should be it's. Autocorrect my..
[deleted post]You're right. In fact it's performance in sunlight legibility test is not good, it's excellent! It tramps on your phone (whatever that is) and any phone the current market has to offer.
Turning a blind eye to something that deserves credit is utterly and purely fanboyism. I'm using an android phone, a Symbian S60v3.2, I have a retired Tytn II running WinMo 6.5 and i have an iPod but i won't bash any OS, brand and manufacturer just to let people know that i like my particular device. The world is so full of negativity. It heating up the Earth's core! Lol
