Unless you prefer your internet experience to be text-only with NO audio or video or interactive functions beyond text links and youtube-mobile, I'd stay away from the new android4.1

Remember why you went with android in the first place? Choice..well 4.1 takes away 70% of your media options online. Restricted/limited browsing is a problem for 4years ago, not today! Fight with your pocketbooks, that's the only language companies understand.. unless you don't like choice, maybe you prefer having options taken away..

Nekko, 29 Jun 2012It will be lower than 3%. Unless Google decides to give back Flash support instead of going th... moreICS uptake is low because it's not supported - there are inherent (back end) issues with it. Google took a long time to release it and manufacturers are taking even longer to provide updates as a result and are applying pressure on Google.

Google even hint at this in the JB launch video, saying about its refinements - "We started down this path with ICS but didn't go far enough"... because they couldn't else they would have.

If JB addresses the many issues and improves performance as advertised it will gain wide support and overtake GB. Just look at how slowly GB was rolling out until 2.3.3. Also all devices that can support ICS can support JB.

Question is will 4.1.1 be good enough in first release and will manufactures honor their 18 month committment to provide updates?

Am happy for JellyBean Update but not super excited after reading the specs.
Very few improvements which can be done even better by any local Developer.
              Somethings missing.

not sure why half the comments on here are for iphone? but personally i cant wait for this update. as long as google have addressed the signal loss problem on the galaxy nexus, i dont really care what jelly bean can and cant do. pretty happy that the galaxy nexus will be one of the first devices to get jelly bean.

I have Galaxy Nexus, ICS does not opens in Ubuntu & Windows XP when connected to PC via USB.
If I update to JellyBean, will this be solved?
