You are right. Samsung created this tablet with one thing in mind: maximum features for a minimum price. It's main opponents are the Nexus 7 and the Kindle Fire. The Nexus is being touted as superior, but it isn't necessarily the case. It depends what you want a tablet for. I did a comparison to show how the three shape up, and I reckon the Tab 2 pips the others at the post. With the latest price reductions, it's cheaper, has a rear camera and is expandable. Unless you're a high-end gamer, or want to use kindle's proprietary services, the Tab 2 is a better buy.

rahul, 14 Mar 2013I will purchase on this tab on 31st march...somebody tell me wht is battery life in a day usin... morei have already a samsung tab 2.7.0 its ok for some applications but i want to install the plug in for yahoomessenger the Tab said not compatible for this version and also the Flash player its not working i tried many times to open the web PERSON.Com but its not work need flashplayer this tablet not compatible to all flash player from Adobe.com my suggestion dont buy this Tablet or else you are waisting your money

one of the way to save battery life,adjust the brightess

well, i cannot say anything but i love my samsung galaxy tab 2.. it amazed me ... and my son love very fast to download , and the sensityvity it make sense .. love it!
