The 8S only has 512mb RAM!
Shame that HTC dumbed the RAM down by soooo much to reinforce it as a lower end device.
The marketing departments in this industry really are driving things in the wrong direction. It is all about positioning devices to maximise profits.
Also if it wasn't for all the fanboys (and there are thousands who post here) we would have a better and more demanding consumer market. The fanboys really are helping stop progress.

Nice designs like em but there is alot of space being left out there on the borders :(
making the screen look much smaller they shud think of spredin the screen from corner to corner will look amazing ...
the thicknes of the fone is too much, HTC wht happnd to ur product line diamond tht was the best one with best flat shapes in the market.
I'm looking forward for any company to produce more flater and thinner windows 8 with more stretched screen with wasting any space on the borders.

the 8X looks like it belongs to lumia family, while the 8S looks like a combination of NXT Series(Xperia U) and Lumia.

These handsets may look copied from the lumia designs, but their color finishes are actually much nicer to look at and are matte, rather than the glossy lumia paint jobs.

the 8x has 1080p front camera - this is very good for self photography. it would be better if it also had front led light, so these pictures would be better.
why no manufacturer offers front led flash for the front camera?

from all win8 phones - by samsung, htc and nokia - only nokia offers lte.
only nokia takes winphone 8 seriously. all the others just play...

in order to succeed, MS should convince top companies to join and release winphone8 devices.
the most important one is sony - which is very good in design and style.
others that should join: panasonic, dell, hp, lg and maybe also sharp and toshiba (both haven't decided whether they want to compete outside of japan).
if all of the above manufacturers would join winphone8 - even if not exclusively - winphone8 would succeed and surpass both apple and android (android - when considering only the medium-range class and above devices - not the cheap ones and those from small brands).
