This may be a bit unrelated but: did candybars without a fancy android die out yet? Or new ones keep appearing? I don't remember the last time I saw a non-symbian candybar review on GSMArena...
Anonymous, 25 Sep 2012It uses the phones G-sensor to detect movement, the data from the G-sensor is used by software... moreWow, thanks mate, that's what I've been looking for.
Cheers,

On the 360-degree spin you can see how poor the viewing angles are...
Anonymous, 25 Sep 2012Great review? Not really... poor viewing angles, poor loudspeaker, average 13mp camera... s... moreI didn'say phone was good, I said the review was good. You can like the phone or not but the guys at GSMarena did great job here.

I use Klipsch X10i in-ear monitors, and they are very sensitive to SNR. As I said, SNR/THD of this phone is not bad, but nothing special either, not for "flagship phone".
Also CPU is not showing any great benchmark results. Which I would forgive for battery life, but battery life is less than on SGSII.
Camera image quality is average. Its 13MP, but I don't care much about resolution.
Screen is not bad, I was just complaining that GSMArena didn't put proper brightness/contrast measurements for it, as they usually do.
Standard UI - good but no deal breaker. I use market apps mainly anyway.
Why is it, time and time again, GSMARENA lists the Samsung Galaxy S3 as having the best sunlight legibility! Simply not true, have you tested it? I can barely see mine in bright sunshine. Its very poor outside due to low brightness. My Sony ARC is VASTLY better in this regard. Can anyone explain this? Are they making the tests up? I'm losing hope in gsmarena for accurate reporting.
does anyone know if the xperia T have ability to pause while recording a video? I think it will also be a good idea if Sony includes call record(like the previous Sony Ericsson non-smartphones) to the software package.

Screen - Just go out and look at a Super Amoled next to this in direct sunlight. Impossible to use my S3 outside.
Audio - Your probably not using the equalizer correctly, or havent enabled surround options or whatever. I use Monster Turbine ear buds, and this sounds easily as good as iPod(touch). Having said that the out of box headphones are adequate for anyone listening casually.
Give it more of a try. UI so simple. Uncluttered and astonishingly good screen sharpness and contrast.
the only thing that's preventing me from buying this phone is the price! too expensive!!!!!
AnonD-55206, 25 Sep 2012That's why Xperia V the Real New Flagship. Xperia TX maybe better :(Xperia V is same, only have 4,3 inches display, waterproof body and will be avaiabke on December. So same average display, average camera, average battery life...
I don't trust gsmarena review when it comes to Sony device or samsung. simply both on the contrary treatment.
C'mon sony,I like your phones but you really need to use IPS screens instead of regular TFT screens.Oh you also need to put bigger batteries in your phones.
Jake, 24 Sep 2012well , even the reviewer think he is too harsh . The conclusion actually indicate its the best... moreProbably not better build than Razr HD. But if i will get amoled again it will be NOte II with its new matrix instead of Pentile. Huge improvement, big big advantage over SGS3 and Razr HD.
Much better to get poor viewing angle on a mega clarity Sony LCD than settle for something as crippled as Pentile. Those who say pentile is good enough should check out Note II first to see how good next gen AMOLED is in comparison, and still its not quite as clear (in text) as LCD (even Note II cannot do subpixel rendering like LCD and the AMOLED+ on Galaxy S2 can). I guess we can say Penile is not terrible but its the one thats the most far from optimal.
I don't mind display viewing angles. But there were no proper display test, so can't see if display any good.
Sunlight contrast is average.
Audio quality is average.
Battery life is average.
Camera is average at best. Especially for this lauded Sony 13MP sensor.
Not very inspiring...
That's why Xperia V the Real New Flagship. Xperia TX maybe better :(
What's with the complaints about the viewing angle? Its as if you guys are gonna use your phones with the display facing sideways.
AnonD-18899, 25 Sep 2012What kind of image stabilization Xperia T uses for stills? Is it related to gyroscope as in so... moreIt uses the phones G-sensor to detect movement, the data from the G-sensor is used by software to make corrections. It should be just as good as an optical sensor if done correctly, and much more reliable and durable and cheap than mechanic/optic stabilizer.
About disp;lay viewing angles, its not something you will notice with normal usage. But its good that Sony and SonyEriczns viewing angles are accepted to be bad now, last year i got flamed here in this site for saying my Xperia Pro had poor viewing angles, Sony has a lot of blind fanboys who destroy a lot for the brand, its people we usually dont want to identify ourselves with.
