Thats a really solid review because its actually true. It really isn't revolutionary and is starting to appear dated. But it does have all the bases covered though and seeing as it was never geared toward power users, is the change really necessary?. Thats true.. But the kicker is that people are getting geekier by second. Basically everyone owns a smartphone now. People are getting accustomed to high functionality devices. Sooner or later there is going to be a fundamental paradigm shift towards devices like Android (Just look at the adoption rates for Android devices).

Thats where Windows Phone 8 comes in. I don't know if people have realized it yet but WP8 is a far cry from WP7 and while its not quite as technically impressive as Android, its already much better than iOS 6. Technically, it sits between iOS and Android with the added benefit of being just as easy to use as iOS. (Something that Android still has a lot to learn from). Microsoft has made some impressive improvements with their OS (Potentially game changing from a technical standpoint) which actually makes it a worthy rival even to likes of Android now.

In short, while Apple's design path for their OS is good for now, its most certainly not going to last forever. They need to buck up and get creative fast..
Technical complacency isn't going to work for much longer...

Anonymous, 26 Sep 2012Sgs3 is amoled. Any android device can do offline maps :)No they cannot. Google maps won't work offline, you can only pre-cache some small areas, which is stupid.

They made it very prone to scratches then after a few months, they'll sell a new iPhone and call it revolutionary.

Apple never had a creative self, they had an observation room for looking at other people's work.

I would call Apple users Retro

Like when you drive a 1970s cool retro car, was great in it's day but now it's really just reminiscing

i like the new iOS6 i think its step forward of improvements and i dont know what is the fuss with the people who requesting change in design and bigger size, people walking around with giant monsters in their pants (if U know what i mean) and makes me wonder whats the future here. for example: if S3 is 4.8 Inch so whats S4 would be 5 inch or maybe more thats not size of a phone in my opinion i think the improvements should be in technology not design and that’s what Apple try to achieve

Bored with both android and apple stuffing the same-old things into different shapes. Can somebody bring something new please? Where is the creativity from these people?

Though I love Apple's device design, I for one hate the look of the iOS itself. It's overly rounded, glass-shiny, candy "fit-every-taste" looks make me want to puke every time I see it. The pure, clear simplicity of vanilla Android ICS or JB is a perfect fit for me and although I'm on Touch Wiz I still favour the stock looks.
Apple, don't be afraid of straight lines and square corners! Setting yourself those rounded frame barriers you just limit your designers' creativity. On the other hand, this makes a handful of users sick of the product, sick enough to want to change the whole of it. That's how new art gets born and more art is never a bad thing.

WiFi issues for thousands of users... anyone else experiencing this problem? seems related to WPA2 encryption.
nobody is sure whether this is a hardware or iOS issue..I would rather prefer the latter and hope for an upate soon!
