Hi! I have owned both this phone, w810i, and its previous model the w800i. I have found them both great and personally I would of stuck with my w800i but it was stolen and my insurance gave me the next model up. However, the w810i is just as good and I have found it to Load faster on a 2gb card than the w800i did.
I see alot of you have questions and so if you want anything answered I will do so to the best of my Ability If you send me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks and god bless!
you can use a 2gb card. in fact, there is now a 4gb card that works fine with it. let's hope the upcoming 8gb card works just as well
I owned this(810i) sexy walkman phone frm Sony Ericsson last week.Though it came with 512 MB of memory and it's written that it can support upto 2GB of memory.Does anyone has any idea whether this phone works fine with memory stick till 2GB or hangs with 2GB.I am planning to buy some more memory...plz respond soon.

its a g8 phone i have 4 a week now but the sound(loud speaker) is a bit low compared to other phones+ the battery should be a bit better...im a heavy user so i have to recharge every 24 hrs or even less .... i liked the idea of recharging thru the usb cable + the sound thru the earphones is g8 (believe me u will like it)
I'm definetly going to buy this thin. The only problem is the lack of protection for the lens. I don''t but phones often. My current phone is Siemens M65. I've had it for a little mor than a year and it camera is P.O.W (Prisoner Of War) against dust! I couldn't see a thing after 4 months
It is a phone worth buying. Packed with lots of features, and you can use a whole day exploring its capability/features. I like the RDS radio auto tuning, sound system. Battery life span is also very good, only manage to exhaust it after 2 days of intensive exploration and usage. Thumbs up!!!

Got this phone last week and everythings great. Great music asum features. Earphone rocks...when i first put it on,feels like theres a mini altec lensing implanted inside my eardrum. Lolz~
plese tell me how to remove the card (pro memory stick ) from the mobile.
i just bought it few month ago and last week went for repair. I duno what wrong with the phone cause it can't be recharge and can't switch on the phone after the battery empty. the battery also cant last long 2.
Just recently got an upgrade, and on the whole its a good phone. However its does have a few set backs. The phone feels cheap and if you are a heavy user then the battery doesnt last very long. Im lucky to get 3days on a single charge. Although the battery life is not a major dissadvantage because on average many phones have the same sort of life.
The other feature are extremely good. and a suprise of a substantial size memory card included in the box.
Just got the w810 two days ago. Only made two calls and one txt msg cuz I'm still using my previous phone. Traded in an Audiovox SMT5600 (iMate SP3, etc) for the w810 because the 5600 was giving poor recptn. Also, that damn 5-way button was a pain. Did like the txt msg confirmation of the 5600, tho. Wish the w810 had it for regular txt and not just for pic msgs. Also, I'm not too crazy about the choice of ring tones. I set mine to the "Ringloard" ring tone. Would rather have something like the "standard" ring tone of the SMT5600. I do think the "Ravi" and "Hong Kong Action" ring tones in the w810 are kind of interesting, though :-}
I like the appearance of the handset. It seems to have a lot of cool features. I used to think what's the point of getting a phone with camera, music player, etc. Hence, I got an LG 4010 which is a basic phone with minimal features in a neat, slim, clamb shell design. The w810 is a major contrast to the 4010 and I'm pleased with that.
Can anyone provide a link to a photo of the (limited edition?) white version of the w810?
As for removing the SIM - Yes, a difficult task, indeed. TIP: Use a wooden toothpick to lift the edge of the SIM as you slide the opposite edge with your thumb. Lucky for me, the SIM I'm currently using has a bit of laminate lifted at the edge. So, I use it as a "handle" to lift the card for easy removal ;-]
I'm hoping all goes well with the w810 because my service provider may not offer another exchange. I've tried one Samsung P207, two Audiovox SMT5600s, rejected a Blackberry 7100g... Don't want to push my luck - They'll probably tell me to take a hike :-D
Anyway, great site. Appreciate all the effort put in by all responsible. Reviews are very informative. Thanks to all! (especially my service provider ~heh heh~)
pat you are crazy, I mean, nobody will notice all the disadvantage features you had said, and 9.2/10 it's a good grade?
anyone knows whether the Sony phone works with Apple computer and iTune?
Has anyone struggled to get the back off (battery and sim housing) just received my 2nd one and that too has to go back, I have had the w800, so it's not as though i don't know how to do it. Any help much appreciated. thanks
I'd say that it's more better than w800i. I like it's design!!! But!!!! It's crazy with JOY-STICK!!! The joy stick is too short to press. Hmm... But, however it's cool and Hi lux!!! Nice!!! I want it!!!
