I'm an android fan at heart, but I have to say the iphone is just as fast after a year of use, while androids just can't really keep up and get slow as in a few months (the price of freedom I guess). Not to mention the (resale) value of androids drop like bricks rapidly

it has taken a long time to compare these two phones because there is no comparison. galaxy s3 is 10 leagues above the iphone.

some people buy a phone just for its hype and trend, so one is better than the other doesn't mean it will sell more. It all depends on the consumer's taste.

Everybody can take a look at "Conclusions". The GSMArena Team did EXCELLENT on this one. It is exactly how you would like to read, and they are right, we buy the OBJECTS because WE like them, not because somebody says so, or that last model was the best seller, etc... Honestly speaking it's useless to buy the latest gadget if you don't know at least it's spec sheet, not to mention about visiting xda, doing some mods, rooting, etc...
            Choose wisely!

              File sharing was never mentioned.
              Some major pawnage:
              Expandable memory
              USB OTG - multiple functionality
              User replaceable batteries
              Stereo Recording
"Customizable" (even the screen contrast so color accuracy is not an issue)
Heaven vs earth pricing of peripherals

S3 ,there is not a single thing to comment here. What is Iphone 5? Nothing.Just flashy and marketing thing. This 2 shouldn't even be compared.

How do u compare a quad core to a dual core device? Apple is stingy on hardware specifications, I used iPhone 4, 4s. U can't really tell them apart, seems like the same thing to me. I Actually will go for the note 2, best phone in the world now.

Andhakannan, 26 Oct 2012I think you are so innocent to get Note II. Everybody is waiting to get it. by the way reag... moreSo you are saying i am using it wrong? Maybe you work for Apple. Read again and see how many S3 and Note II owners agree with me.

Install apps to get basic functionality?? Duuhhh! Get real man. If only the setting would stick i would not complain, biut it doesnt, this is probably the most stupid thing i ever seen on a phone, even the stuff on cheap LG phones that lets you put bunny ears in your photos are intelligent compared to Samsungs "call log".

Another problem is the inconsistent use of adress book, seems there is no global settings for it. One of the first things i did on my Note II was to configure the adressbook to show only the contacts under my google account. And then when i write a text and goes to select recipient, it displays contacts from all sources, making how many duplicates. Ok, i can probably figure it ou you think, but heres one of the problems: Samsng refuse to show what source the contact was pulled from, and theres no way to see the number stored. Result is taht i many times had to cancel writing the text message and go to the address book to look up the contact and tap to send a message from there. This is seriously odd, an address book that has no global settings, so awkward, and for sure no other manufacturer does this.

Im keeping an open mind and hav no problems to do old tasks in new ways but its too much stupidity spread around in touchwiz. And i dont get it why there is no option to edit numbers before call, something that other cellphones had since forever.

Pick SG3 i have it from 3 months and it works very fine. It has NFC ,very good screen, camera, chipset is working fine. And the price is very very good.
I will not buy in my lyfe an iphone 5 very expensive becouse is new.
Web browsing is more better in SG3 and the expirience that you live when you are playing a Game is very very good.
Iphone 5 and Apple it start to go down it the same design over 4-5 years. Is boring.

Moy opinion go for Samsung Galaxy S3..
Bcoz its screen is big which enhances ur gaming experience, web browsing, video playback too..
And it has google maps which fully works in india as compared to ios..
And battery life is also good..
And has expendable memory slot too
And most importantly price is much cheaper then iphone5

Both are great!! But, Iphone is way too expensive for me with it's spec!!! Guess S3 will be a better choice.

You probably never had the s3 just like all the other android haters out there. We android people have used the iPhone and that's how we say what is better. The s3 doesn't compare to iPhone atall, s3 is far more superior in every aspect.

I both have an iPhone 4 and an S3. I switched to S3 because Apple is so stupid, not to mention they have a very bad customer service. But now that I experienced android and I am already tired of the cool customizations. I'm starting to like the iPhone 4 again because it's very durable, good aesthetics, and wonderful UI. Apple products are great actually, but they themselves are not, they're stupid.
