It is actually as easy (if not easier) than ios... The advantage it has is that for tech geeks it is very much customizable... If not... Just use it as it is... Android is more popular than ios btw... So saying ios is what people "need" isnt valid anymore...
Anonymous, 25 Oct 20122 days ago i would disagree with you, but now i am not sure. Its one week since i bought a Gal... moreHaha... I cant beleive you just bashed the geatest phone because of the call log... Are you crazy?!!!! Have u tried pressing the menu button while in the log... U can set the log by: missed calls, incoming, outgoing, messaging..... How is that not useful
I love apple but m not happy with them any more .i had high expectations from iPhone 5 but it has nothing new to offer . I hope they realise they aren't going in the right direction . Ipad mini is a bigger iPod and 4th gen ipad huh I don't see the point in even calling it a new product. M using ipad 3 n I don't find the urge to even think of upgrading it . I was so happy with my iPhone 4S, when one of my friends told me to give a chance to galaxy s3 before the release of iPhone 5 , I did . After using it I hate to say, but s3 is miles ahead of iPhone . I love iPhone but its saddening to see their new(?) products . I wish they come up with something new so I can get back to my beloved apple and make fun of android . I miss the excitement I felt ,buying iPhone 4 and - even - 4s . Plz bring innovation back to ur products apple .
EZ, 25 Oct 2012You should compare the iPhone 5 with the S3's big brother, Note 2. That is an interesting fight.Just between the two of us... There isnt a single smartphone on themarket now worth comparing to the note 2. That thing is one hell of a device... I think we have to wait a few months to get smthg comparable.
Sgs3 comes out on top here and totally agree... the s3 can do anything the iPhone 5 can...and mostly does it better, plus it just has so many options that the iPhone does not
z, 25 Oct 2012switched to i5 from gnexus. i will never going back to android. But why?
Anonymous, 25 Oct 2012and then again the SGS3 will win hands down... you know why, tons of more features, and useabi... moreI respect your opinion, but an OS that just works, is what most people want. Both offer what the average user needs. If you're a tech geek, then the SGS3 is desirable.
That is what i call as the Perfect Match! As the famous line from Dark Knight - "When an unstoppable force meets an immovable object". 2 very good phones making consumers delighted! That should be the takeaway. And i'm a S3 owner btw :)
Sam, 25 Oct 2012By their comparison, Samsungs GS III beats the iPhone 5. Finally tally is: 5 to 3 with 5 tie... moreI agree. I think they're stopped innovating with the iphone 4. Everything else after that were just merely upgrades with no true innovation.
Please, make another review like this when the Lumia 920 gets on sale. My doubt, not only mine I guess, is between iPhone 5, SGS3 and Lumia 920.
Blankman, 25 Oct 2012It's unfair to compare by specs, as the SGS3 will win hands down, it's more down to real world... more2 days ago i would disagree with you, but now i am not sure. Its one week since i bought a Galaxy Note II and my enthusiams has gone from skyrocketing to lunk warm. The tastelessness and stupidity of TouchWiz has been eating my patience since day one and now i am getting fed up. i still havent decided waht to do but looks like i will be giving the Note II to my daughter and get a Xperia TX for myself. Samsung may be the best at making high specced phones but tehy have no idea how to make a good UX. I mean, NOte II does not even have a call log, everytime i want to call a recently used number i have to go through some settings to get the recently called numbers, since the call log is a mess and displays all the recent text messages inbetween recent calls, so to find a recent call i have to scroll trough how many hundred texts first. Unbelievable awkward and utterly useless log. Ofcourse a call log must default to calls only, except if my phone is a samsux.
Anonymous, 25 Oct 2012Agree and even sgs2 is getting jellybean officiallyYeah, my move from Android back to iOS has been good, as both offer the same features I use day to day. I'm missing the FM radio a bit, but the ecosystem makes up for it, with my opinion that the App store is better.
There are other reasons I switched over, but I'm open to both Android and iOS. I will be a bit envious when Jelly Bean is released for the SGS2, and XDA get hold of it :p
I'm watching with interest for when the Lumia 920 is released. We need another player in the Smartphone OS market to challenge Android and iOS to make it more exciting.
If you dont count the ties, S3 wins 5 - 3 against iPhone5 :p
Its a shame that iPhone5 is more expensive than S3 but still has a smaller screen and couldnt beat S3 outright in comparison.
