This phone has given me nothing but trouble. I had inserted a 32gb memory card as this phone's interal memory is v less and your phone basically cant function with only the little internal memory. After inserting the 32gb card and transferring my photos and apps to it, the phone automatically began to unmount the sd card and prepair it again to be read. It kept saying "sd card removed unexpectedly" or "damaged sd card". I removed the external memory card and put it back in but the problem still persists. Its doing it right now as i type. Also the battery life is very less and after 1 year of use it switches off after 5 minutes of opening an app.

I already have this phone and this review has shown me a lot more about it than the instruction manual with the phone did! I am now happier with my phone, although disappointed that it was unable to rate higher!

This mobile is the worst mobile i ever had.. it hanged 10 times. The ram is very slow. You can't even move your apps to the sd card. Its really disgusting . There is 4 GB internal memory but u can use only 1 GB.

Why d hell people are not telling the truth...this phone is a piece of junk.
1.You cant move your apps to sd card. Try anything you like but this phone doesnt hav d provision for it.
2. Try any battery saver application but your phones battery is totally rely on your sim network and how you are using your net. If you are using it on 2g network it will drain your battery faster. using it on full brightness also effect it. I charged my upto its full extent and using the 2g net.after 5 hours of use the battery reamin only 6%.
3. People are saying to install mx player and blah blah to watch full hd movie. The truth is you can watch hd movie but only at 720p not at1080p. Cause you dont hav that much of ram or hd screen.

why samsung you cant provide any os updates in low end or mid range devices....i m using s duos but not satisfied from day i have purchase....there are many low end devices or mid range phone of samsung who are capable but not got os updates and if samsung dont want to give os updates in low end devices just stop making low end devices and make high end devices.....i will not buy any samsung products it just a waste no os updates samsung never cares .....i will go for sony xperia models or lg models it gives good updates ....bye samsung

samsung should discontinue this model its waste model of samsung always hang even hang in wifi...gameplay lag apps take time to response ...old ics ....no software updates...its just waste of money....samsung discontinue this model fast

After using this phone for nearly 20 months, I can say I am a very happy user of Samsung Galaxy S DUOS.I was initially unhappy that I had paid large sum of money to buy a smartphone, mind you it was my 1st smartphone purchase. I was waiting for a smartphone which the right blend of my requirements and this one satisfied all and still going smoothly.
I wanted a phone with below requirements
1)Android latest version
I got ICS in 2012 which was decent
2)DUAL SIM
I am a regular traveler and only use prepaid for Voice/Data,so Dual Sim always helps
3)Mini Sim
I Swap my Data Sims between various Dongles/Phone/Laptop, so I feel Mini Sim is the way to go as it has Compatibility across devices. I think it is unnecessary in my opinion for the reduction of SIM Size from Mini to Micro/Nano. My question to Mobile Phone Companies When you are increasing the size of the phones so drastically, why cant you keep the SIM size constant
4)Size of Phone
I think S DUOS at its size if the perfect smartphone size for Indians who don't have big hands like Europeans or USA guys.
5)External SD Card Slot and Removable Battery
The above points are always there for a Samsung phone
6)Decent Hardware/Specs
The hardware/specs are decent for a regular user like. Touch is fine, GPS, WIfi , Hotspot, Small Applications run smoothly. I am not big Gamer so I am not bothered abt it.
Overall S DUOS it's worth its money every paisa, and I don't want to change my phone until it breaks to a bad extent. If I have to give a suggestion to new buyers with budget in their mind, I think you guys can go for S DUOS 2 which is an improvement over S DUOS while retaining all above characteristics.
I have thank Samsung for releasing perfect mobile to suit our Common Man of India(Aaam Admi) which are long lasting and hope for similar products in future.
