Nokia N80 shows that it can be an adequate competitor and far exceeded our initial expectations even without the Carl Zeiss logo and the autofocus lens. Overall it is a better imaging device than Nokia N90 and Sony Ericsson K750. Nokia N80 also wins in the video capturing department.
Peoples it's a fact that having the 3g enabled on any phone will drain your battery. If your not using 3g features turn off the 3g in your network settings; it will work like a normal gsm phone and u should get more battery power.
This is the cutest and Best baby I have
come in touch to. This phone really looks big on some of it's pictures - but wait till you
meet it in Real life - you won't believe
how small it is AND then it's packed with all and all of the BesT features.
It really is awesome and would recommend it to phone-fanatics !!!
anyone that ask can you do this with the phone the answer is yes. But you got to figure it out. There really nothing this phone can't do.
You should KEEP your N80 instead and rather NOT go for the N73 as it is NOT a better phone than N80 at ALL ! N73 ONLY has got a bigger screen but the resolution is much POORER. And the "carl zeiss" on N73 does not make a difference in a way that u will notice it. N73 also has NO Wi-Fi & it is not a slider - so it's BORING and straight forward. The N80 has pretty much everything a phone can have and it won't get 'outdated' easily. It will be hard for any other phone to compete with this state-of-the-art mobile ! And as far as I know, every single Nokia that I had over the years had to be charged about once a day on regular usage. To the conclusion that this phone makes no exception - so it won't bother me @ all !... BTW is SA they evaluate all their
mobile phones (especially this fellow) for quality PURPOSES to be able to work properly in this country. Of all the troubles iv'e heard from the overseas purchasers - Iv'e not heard about
all those problems in SA due to this Quality check. So maybe it's just too bad for all those overseas people complaining
nice fone with inbuilt quality like 3 mp camera, gsmetc. i like the picture quality and model structure.and last fm radio is also great.
The phone supports GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, UMTS, PTT, Bluetooth and IrDa. Nokia N80 works with Bluetooth Specification 1.2 supporting the following profiles: Basic Printing Profile, Generic Access Profile, Serial Port Profile, Dial-up Networking Profile, Headset Profile, Handsfree Profile, Generic Object Exchange Profile, Object Push Profile, File Transfer Profile, Basic Imaging Profile, SIM Access profile, and Human Interface Device Profile. Unfortunately, the A2DP profile is not among them which makes impossible the use of stereo Bluetooth headset with the phone.
Is that suppose to mean that N80 can't use any Bluetooth Headset that are currently selling in the market? Thanks for replying :D
Guys don't wait for N93 ... N80 is the BEST in N-Series, everything that U R looking for is in it and trust me: it REALLY is the best.
N93 is the biggest phone iv'e ever seen - I mean -
it's like you can't believe. N80
N80 N80 - got it ? lol...
Good phone, bad battery life, always runs out every day. Awaiting USB charger which is hard to source. I am a great fan of the Sony P900 and P910i so to move to this phone has not been easy and I am not so impressed, very small screen, cant easily copy edit and paste numbers etc.. good music phone, and great wireless connection, although PTT not supported by 02 and IM not working as yet..
i like the phone it has all the latest features on it not only that it is a vary user friendly phone, the only phone with a to z functions,i was very happy to read all the features about it and was also planing to purchase the phone for my self but it was too expensive for me,wish i could by it,if any one wishes to purchase a real good phone this is the one,my vote for mt dream phone n80
Nokia n80...yes, it has almost everything. The best of the market.yet. My oppinion is 9/10 after 2 months. Thanks ciao
Matt, reg. the 802.11 wireless, yes you can use it with your home wireless network/router, just like you use your laptop/desktop. You need to add a new access point, in other words, configure your wireless router/access point, under Settings--> Connection---Access Points. Its a bit tricky, but it works well once configured.
About the phone, I've had it for 2 days, its got a bit of problems, but I'm happy, you can't get everything from a tiny little thing. And with all due respect, I reckon Sony should stick to making televisions and cameras only, cuz they don't seem to care about the phone bit in their phones.
guys dont wait for N93 ...N80 is the best in N series ,everything that u r looking for is in it and trust me its the best
Somone plz i am begging right here do the camera lenses get scratched easily or the screen cause i am tired of my old se w800 which is completely useless somebody help. i am desperate :(
I have had this phone for 1 month now and have yet to regret why i bought it. It is a true ambassador of nokia technology and proves beyond any doubt that nokia will always be a leader in the cell phone world. Well done and thank you to the development team who put this phone together.
Hi guys, just wanted to know, in regards to the N80 can someone please tell me if it has the video playback like the samsung D600??
N80 is the best phone I ever had, something incredible...my previous phone was samsung d820 which is a toy in comparison with n80...i am so freakin happy :)
I'm surprised that no one has commented on the 3rd generation symbian OS. There is a lot of customizability with the N70 and its version of symbian. Does anyone have any concerns about the lack of compatability with previous versions of the UI? It means that a lot of software isn't going to be usable on the N80.
Can I use something like AIM Express on this phone?
