This to the owners of N80
I want to know hows the sound quality of N80 through speakers and headphones. And would also like to have comparison between sound N80 and N70 or N80 and K750 or N80 and 6630. Thanks in advance! Hope to have a reply soon...
the annoying key lock problem is solved...
go to www.cooga.ch
mLock just set the Keylock. The idea is an easier use of the Keylock (especially with N80).
Most practical is this tool, when it’s used as the first application by
the Active Desk. Instead of open and close the Slider-Mobile or press the
“Profile - Key” you need just to click the mLock icon and the Keylock is set.
There are no settings necessary and also no “application - screens” available.
I'll be honest to you guys. I have used phones from all brands. My latest phones in the past few years have been the Samsung D600, Sony Ericsson K750, both 2 Mega Pixels, and even blackberry 7130. Trust me, yes i know the battery life of N80 is bad, but this is the best deal you can ever get as a phone!
Its simply marvellous. Just like every electronic device it comes with its cons as well, but owning is an amazing feeling. This puppy can do wayyyyy more than any other phone in the market!
Forget all the downside, once you own it, you will be amazed. Just invest in a back up battery and you will never stop admiring the design and the functionality of your phone!
I have been using my N80 for almost a month now. Overall, I like the phone very much. However, there are several problems that I encountered despite the diverse features offered by the phone.
First of all, the battery life is really poor. It cannot even withstand for 3 days with a low daily usage (i.e., talking for less than 15 minutes a day).
Another thing is the key lock function. It’s really troublesome to press the power button and select the key lock option with one hand. Why they can’t just design the function similar to the unlock function.
The 3 mega-pixel camera is good. But without the auto-focus function like SE K750i, it loses out. I still prefer using my SE K750i in taking a picture.
The keys on the front panel (especially the navigation, menu and multimedia keys) are giving me the fragile feel. The navigation keys are too rigid and I always mistakenly pressed the exit key. Whereas, the numeric keys are good to key in, the feel is great, unlike what was mentioned in the review that the first row is difficult to press. I have no problem in using the numeric keys.
Well, has anyone had this problem.. it connects to the internet.. sends 31Mb while i'm out the country!
Its connecting wihtout asking me.. then sends data ? i dont know what or who to.. and when i cancel the connection it waits 5 minutes and connects again.. Orange have yet to come back with a solution other that turn off wap functions from their end! Its still trying to connect even tho it cant.
Also.. buttons are poo. and the call doesnt get cancelled if you start ringing someone and shut the phone up before they answer.. so beware.. I have memory issues too.. usual, hardly anything on it and the card's full or out of memory occasionally..
Apart fromt that i do actually like the phone.. its cool, it is nice, the screen is ace, the photos are good.. (look better on the screen than in real life tho!)..
I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Having had one for less than a week, it's nice to have all those lovely features when you have a proper battery to power it. Unfortunately with this phone, it doesn't have that. I do not use my phone a lot - I'm a low/mid user. I can't even get a day and a half out of the battery and at one stage I was actually *watching* the indicator go down and down! It's a shame really, as the screen and applications are marvellous, but I had to send it back and get something less power hungry.
n80 is really good
n80 is a top phone. Has great features such as wifi. it has a 3 megapixel camera which is excellent. Silver is stainless still by da way.
I think this is da best nokia.
Its design sucks,i just cant press keys comfortabl, business features comes next when u can hold the phone in one hand and slide it and if u canpress keys comfotably.this phone sucks,i have sold it
Well, it is a blue led integrated in the light sensor.
does it have the ROTATE App to use the phone landsape like the E60 ?
is it really that big? because im planning to buy it this coming july. is it an advisable phone to buy for a student?
Rejecting a call with an sms is also available on my 6630.
"he front part of the phone is made of silver plastic with a metal plate on it. The plastic accommodates the N80 sign and a tiny LED."
Ik don't think it is a LED at the front beneath the N80 sign.
It's the sensor to automaticly adjust the screenbrightness.
