Matt, 09 Jan 2013and by the time the S4 arrives, you'd better wait for the next flagship coming out (any manufa... morenot at all, so far, samsung, sony and htc are the only companies who bring the smartest pieces in the market so option will only be considered among them.. sammy is releasing their flagship phone almost yearly (the S and the Note) and thats fine however htc and sony are always bringng new powerful devices or their flagships, maybe that cud be a problem if ill wait for another mos before making a decision.. but waiting for s4 is a great move to eliminate regrets..

Becks, 09 Jan 2013Has no one tried the HDR mode whilst recording? I'm really curious about what kind of differen... moreHDR or High Dynamic Range -in photography, "dynamic range" refers to the ratio between the brightest light you can capture in a scene and the darkest light you can capture in the same scene. Although the human eye has incredibly high dynamic range -meaning we can see both very bright and very dark parts of a single scene -digital cameras (and especially cell phone cameras) do not.

Think of each pixel as a bucket that captures photons during an exposure. Unfortunately, these buckets are not very deep, so they quickly overflow. Once a pixel overflows, the pixel is saturated and it comes out completely white, even if there was color in the scene. If you've ever taken a picture where the bright parts turned out pure white, this is why.

The phone's spec's are extremely wonderful..

But unfortunaitly.. Sony's interface makes the phone look like it has some lags (specially in Dialer+Messages) , kind of what we saw in Xperia Arc/s..

I mean, It had a Quad-Core processor & 2 GB of ram.. Sony could REALLY make this device much more powerful with an optimized and lighter interface/launcher.

Same specs on a Samsung Phone would be blazing fast! with ZERO cracks at all (Not a fan of Samsung but just sayin' the truth).

Great Job Sony anyway.. Keep it up
Hope its my next phone ^_^

Pls when it comes to design no any Android phone can compete with Sony including the ugliest design S3. IPhone and Sony both has the best design .

Da, 09 Jan 2013Model z less than CPU from Xperia SL and lower memory only 16GBwhat do you mean?
Xperia SL 1.7 dual-core Snapdragon s3 processor (not Krait)
                                      but
                                      Xperia Z 1.5 quad-core Krait Snapdragon s4 plus processor

how can you compare CPU of Xperia SL with this Beast?

yes for 16GB storage you are right, but SL doesn't offer Micro SD slot
on Xperia Z you have Micro SD slot, can add 32GB more
so xperia Z wins here as well.......

The back and the glass look of the Xperia Z, IS NOT JUST PLASTIC nabs...

                                        Tough as metal

How solid does a precision engineered smartphone need to be? How about as solid as a car? Xperia Z’s frame is made from glass fibre polyamide, the same material that’s used as a metal substitute in automobile parts.

                                        Durable glass

The durable tempered glass on front and back is a lot stronger than conventional glass. And with anti-shatter film on the front and back, Xperia Z is anything but fragile.
