Well for the build it is really obvious that XZ is the best..not plastic...why would you buy an expensive plastic smartphone...the camera is the best with HDR and EXmore S.I wonder how samsung will copy those ideas without being sue...Cmon it's a pretty phone...Actually there are just all the same...there are some pros and cons like memory battery..so look for the goodlooking one

I rather have a naked ui rather than full of software app that you can download at google playstore. Or just root it. Why simple a hardware cant be changed or undone, but software side, you can restore, backup to its original state. Viewing angles is not very impt. Cause in how many times do you have to share your friends your phone realy. Privacy is more impt than sharing. What sony now needs is to improve more in ui stockd apps such as simple as camera, bravia 2, video, ui fluidity fast and stable. And of course not making memory intensive. And also walkan app. It is good but better will be muc

In my opinion even the normal auto rotation is useless on Note 2, this is a opinion i share with many owners of SGS3 and Note2.
Smart stay can be nice when reading but Note 2 is not good for reading anyway, the white always change colors with the slightest tilt, from yellow magenta to blue and back, and the low ppi makes reading small fonts harder/slower.
So with small fonts being of so low quality you need to use bigger fonts, and then you will fit less words on the screen, and then you need to scroll more often, and when you scroll often you will not need smart stay.
I know a guy who have both SGS3 and Acro S, both are 720p, he like the SGS3 most for almost everything but for reading and clarity he said the Acro S is very superior, much more comfortable and clear. This is what matters for reading, Smart Stay is less important than display quality.

AC3 codec didnt work ? Hmm. I knew that. Thats why sony is dumb and samsung is the best. Xperia Z is a dumbphone. Even GS3 is better. Waiting for the best smartphone of 2013 - SGS4.

Been using this device for two weeks now. It's a demo unit and software still a bit buggy for exchange mail. Other than that, its the best phone I've used after HTC one X. Had a stint with an S3 for a few weeks and must say that I longed for my one X until the Xperia Z arrived. Well made device versus S3 but One X still a strong contender for build quality. The Xperia Z is stylish, unique, fast and best of all an Android.

i read that some of u are attacking the TFT .. the PSP had a TFT and i never saw any smartphone up until now with the same deep colors so stop speaking like some old folks .. viewing angels?? like hell we need it .. imagine that every one around u watching ur video call a special photos .. will unless some of u guys want to share every thing with any stranger in the bus .. my psp have the worst viewing angels yet the best colors and the most beautiful details shown in the screen .. i rly care how i see the colors not the one sitting next to me

my ARC has it....Thanx for the proof anyway, you had two phones and never even noticed that they have auto brightness, that proves how well tuned Sonys algorithm is, all these years and you had no idea your phones were always adjusting the brightness for you.
On some Sony/SE models it can be a disadvantage, if you hold it at a certain angle under a light source the display will start flickering, as the autobrightness cannot make up its mind.

Look at the picture where they are both right on, thats not washed out colors, its really excellent. Also click on the left arrow a few times and look at the photos of XZ vs Note2 (the image names say sg3 but theres an S-pen), when tilted very far they are similar, then the next image they tilt more and the Note2 is virtually invisible but the XV is still readable.
Then finally click a few more leftwards again and see XZ vs iphone5. Everyone except some fanboys have accepted that iphone is the champion of color reproduction and i like to say that XZ is its closest match, all the others that can compete with iphone are Sony Xperia as well. Well done Sony, this display is the best ever on a smartphone (i dont count iphone and nokia asha as smartphones)
