Just been to the Sony centre at Chapel Street (Melbourne, Australia) as the phone is not released here yet... They had ONE unit in a plexi glass display under lock n' key and the back of this demo unit had two major issues. 1) a TONE of finger grease- as mentioned in the article (really an unbearable about of finger-print) 2) perhaps much more importantly: TWO HUGE scratches on that beautifully glass back-she'll. Definitely a deal breaker for me, especially the latter issue...
Guys, is there an auto rotate toggle from the quick settings widget, I can't seem to find it? Is there a way to add that function to the proprietary quick setting toggles in widget?
Thanks

This is a giant monster. And everybody knows it, including apple and Samsung.
The Xperia Zs released in Japan definitely has a gorgeous, vibrant screen comparable to current generation phones. Sadly, the international version has a crappy TFT screen.

Gamesarefun83, 18 Feb 2013Hi all! I am planning to get an Xperia Z as soon as it launches, but after seeing one myself y... moreHave you got the phone yet, I'm sure you'll agree the screen is stunning! the viewing angles is a non issue in my book and the you can have it as bright as you like. I'm v happy with mine!!

The day time photos taken by the XZ are the best I've seen with a camera phone. True I haven't been wowed by low light photos with the lumia 920 and iphone 4s/5 giving subjectively better results.
batery life test???!?

I've got the idea something went wrong hear. The review seems more like an upgraded preview (not on par with most other reviews from GSMArena) and still lacks te battery test, which is an important subject for me.

Specially on:
- Color reproduction - almost always wrong WB
- Sharpness (excessive noise reduction and JPEG compression on the SONY)
I've played with the settings and I could never even get it to match my S2
Interesting as the Sony images average 2.6MB (13MP) and the Samsung ones 3.3MB (8MP)
When will the battery release? anyone has idea to share?
how is the heat issue? I'm planning to get it soon, but if battery and heat are poor...750$ is much to spend...
This one i an example of both getting it wrong, the Bravia engine is making it too bright and too much saturation so the whole thing gets a bit red, while the HTC is doing something strange, no person has that tint to the skin, its like HTC mixed in a black tone. You can also see in the teeth that HTC is doing something very unnatural to the colors here.

Here is an example of Z being superior to HTC Butterflys LCD3.

Look above her head, the whiter area of the wall is faint on the HTC, but very pronounced and easy to see on the Z.
In addition the HTC has too cold whites, look at the background of the text under, it has a blueish tint to it. Weak but its there.
The colors look more washed out on the Z here, but seriously, look at her cellphone, does anyone think its gonna be Old Pink like that on the HTC display, would the poor girl walk around with an Old Pink phone? No one use that colro anymore, not for anything at all, esp not cellphone covers. Im sure the Z is showing the correct color here.
