Anonymous, 23 Feb 2013BTW Nexus 4 BSI Sensor made by Sony and nexus video looks better and more sharper than note 2.... moreNx4 is jumping when panning in all videos i seen, this one included. And in most videos objects applique arts very skewed. But it's ok, since it's a mid range phone, however the audio is unacceptable and far worse than $30 China phones.

Tired of reading about those silly viewing angles as a criterium to pick up a smartphone... You know what ? I put my face in front of the screen. That's it !
Btw, about 64GB cards, it is once again confirmed to work. http://blog.clove.co.uk/2013/02/22/sony-xperia-z-supports-64gb-microsdxc-memory-cards/
AnonD-116086, 22 Feb 2013hey guys does it have Swype or something equivalent? Yes, all Xperia phones have what Sony call "Gesture Input". It works quite well, it doesnt get hooked on certain words like Samsungs version does, the over-active learning function in Samsungs can make the phone bring up the same wrong word over and over again even if you never used it. Every time the Samsung suggest a wrong word it thinks you approved it and then it will think you are in love with that word and that you always use it.
Xod, 22 Feb 2013Well, to be honest with with you I could see this smartphone and apart for its features THE SC... moreWell, i know what u mean, i had a HTC with SLCD and changed to Xperia Pro. I was not happy with the viewing angles at first. This is normal when you havent used a product, just like reviewers, they use a phone for a few days and test in a generic environment, they dont use the phones like we do, they dont live with them. Like sideslider qwerty phones, i had 3 of them and typed millions of characters on such phones, then when i read reviews of slidesliders, esp here on GSMA, i immediately see that the reviewers dont understand the basics of a sideslider.
The same happens with displays, a reviewer just test it and say its good or bad. In real life the Xperia Pro was a superior display to the HTC i had before that, the viewing angles was no problem at all, ever.
Xperia Pro had a TFT at size 3.7 inch and 854x480 resolution and Mobil Bravia Engine. My phone now, a NOte 2, has 5.5 inch AMOLED and 1280x720 resolution. It would not be fair to compare those two displays, because of the size and resolution, thats obvious to people like you, but to me, who actually have used the two for long periods (10 and 5 months) it is different, the Xperia Pro has better detail when watching movie, particularly in dark scenes the difference is big.
Sony fans has nothing to fear, you will love the display of the Z. Also the Xperia T has proved itelf to have superior level of detail that you can see in many youtube videos with the T side by side with other phones, and it was also said to be the best phone ever for reading text, why is it better than both One X and Galaxy S3 and Note 2? Because Sony use great displays.
Xod, 22 Feb 2013Well, to be honest with with you I could see this smartphone and apart for its features THE SC... moreSheesh! How many times I will hear about the viewng angles? If.you have friends watching with.you watch it in the flat. Hotels provide with a flat screen tv with hdmi. Your smartphone is for your personal use not for everyone. Screen sucks? Heck, even the sxs wipes the s3's pentile.amoled specially in low brightness.
Well, to be honest with with you I could see this smartphone and apart for its features THE SCREEN REALLY SUCKS! it's like watching ai LCD screen with superb quality but the angles are terrifying...truly. Thanks Sony but no...
AnonD-115352, 20 Feb 2013 What is the battery life ? I remember gsmarena always has a section for the battery life... moreLike is the case with the Lumia 620, the battery endurance ratings are still nowhere to be found on this site. Without power this device is as good as a paper weight.
Anonymous, 22 Feb 2013What would sony benefit with nexus??Not that much but as a Nexus user I'd like a Sony design for a Nexus...plus the water proof ;)

Watch movies with like 6 friends circling the phone? Want strangers, on the subway, to read whats on your phone?
At last Sony is back...!!! More competitors means better products for consumers. I will go, however, for Nexus 4. Half the price of any 2013 flagship. And a final thought: October 2013: Sony Xperia Nexus...Anyone else agreeing with me? :-D

Despite the.poor contrast, i'm still going for xperia z than disposable android smart phones. Been using. SE p1i for many years and still works like a charm. My s3 died within 4months and the service center says with it's not covered with the warranty. How poor service for samsung, scamsung may be the most popular but popularity/fame. isn't everything. Back to sony. Sony ftw.

So while the review here said the colors lack punch, but in amobil dot no they said the only possible downside of the display was over saturated colors like on AMOLED displays.
By the way, video camera performance at night, perfect colors, great clarity and very good detail, beats the Note 2 easily. When watchin this video, see on the bottom left when HDR is on and off, you will see why HDR has to be used with caution, esp towards the end it introduces truckloads of noise. Also watch the audio icon moving from phone to phone, and listen to the Nexus 4 for a good laugh, so pathetic, distorted beyond recognition! LG as usual! LG and HTC are really the clowns on the industry, Nexus 4 should be bundled with a big red clown nose for the owners looks to match their brain. Ok heres the video, get ready to let the Z amaze your eyes and ears.
