I don't mind plastic and the design isn't bad at all , those that don't like plastic designs have other options .
I hope the build quality is better then the s3 though , I had one for a short while and had a little drop , the silver plastic bezel cracked quite badly and made the phone look pretty bad just for a single drop .
there is no doubting the sgs4 will sell well and is a great phone with great features , however I think that nokia could get back in the race now
all they need is Microsoft to get the o/s gaps filled , the store filled with more apps and nokia to come out with a 920 type device with pureview phase 1+2 combined
if nokia can release a phone like the 920 with xenon flash , large sensor , ois , pureview zooming , tv out , micro sd card slot and at least 16gb internal memory then we have a great choice of flagships for consumers
I like android and the galaxy series they offer great funcinallity but I think with the sgs4 they haven't innovated enough , they have nicked features from other phones like the lg camera features , the nokia cinemagraph features etc , I honestly feel that if nokia can put their best hardware into a true flagship they could get back into the race :-)

That being said,forget the new software and hardware introduction none do care, it should have been the design that changed. Boring phone factor. i could retain my S3 though and get htc one. Having s3 and getting s4 looks redundant

Absolutely not worth the upgrade, Samsung used to criticize Apple for making the Iphone's almost alike, and Samsung has done the same thing, There isn't any difference in design between S3 and S4, if you keep them Side by Side you will exactly know what I am talking about, I currently have an S3, and Wanted to upgrade to an S4, but it seems like I wouldnt now since even if I upgrade it for small differences in the CPU and Slightly better screen wont make it worth to upgrade.

HTC produce the first android ph, the first company to use full hd screen on ph, its trademark aluminum unibody, beats audio, sense UI, ultra pixels, Zoe and there are many others I don't know. Actually, it is samsung that copy almost everything from iPhone. Look at SGS2and you'll see that. Same design, a single hardware key below the screen, copycat UI from iphone. If you like SGS4, buy it. But, don't troll other brands!!!

Plastic oh not again after the arrival of LG nexus HTC one Sony xperia z the onus was on Samsung to deliver a better phone(build quality wise). I am disappointed a bit.

I just love Samsung hurry to copy HTC's features (IR port, and HTC Zoe features). With the beautiful craft and premium feel, not to mention the front facing stereo speakers, HTC One has more than enough to be this year's king of the hill. Go HTC!

i have s3 ....i liked s4 but i dont buy it....because after
another month some Specifications s4 come to s3
some like note 2 multi taske....and other coming back to s3
i think changes......s2 to s3 like iphon 3gs to 4
but s3 to s4 like iphone 4s to 5 alittel

Pretty impressed with S4...its more then expectation in features...
design is somehow same, dont know if still it have the same creepy costly plastic ;-p
ermmm...gesture control feature is old one...1st time it comes in micromax superfone, so samsung haven't innovate and 2nd sound with picture was in windows movie maker n samy just put it in S4...
Most of the people dosen't know that we can play music in background while calling (one of the best way while doing romantic talk with ur gf)
anyways samy surpassed every competitor with S4..

Kinda disappointed... at least change the looks even a little bit !! I get that its insides r improved but when ur forkin out that kind of cash for a upgrade or whatever u want something that looks new and interesting!

I don't really understand why everyone complains about plastic finish, i used to own galaxy phones from s2 to s3 and now note2, never had a problem with scratches or displays broken or cracking, in the other hand my father's iphone 5 is by now and with just 3 months of use all scrathched and the crystal of the back is cracked at the point its starting to fall apart, i dropped my note2 a lot of times and thanks for the plastic it's still intact maybe i was lucky, so i don't really care if the look or finish is premium or not, aluminum or crystal or polycarbonate or kevlar are not premium! Premium a VERTU phone with really rich materials and really premium look so stop the eternal plastic battle please, infact is a very high premium plastic and i prefer that than wait delays because the company cant produce the phone
