I dont know whether HTC has made easy for s4 or not but u certainly made yourself at ease by deciding upon such stupid factors regarding what is good and what is bad
'm sorry but where's the xperial ZL? It's absence is notable from the conclusion page.
Even though it lacks Z's water resistance and premium looks it is the high end part of the two. Much smaller bezels, better screen, slightly better battery, IR blaster, snapper button.... In short ts better in all the things that matter (plus cheaper too) than Z so I cannot account for it's absence from your review comparisons...
the review is pretty much what I expect from the phone.. :-) still torn between HTC One and S4 though..
Anonymous, 23 Mar 2013iPhone had the best design until this One turned up!!Nope, Nokia N9 is still the best looking phone ever. Everything else just looks run of the mill phones....

You can barely see the differences from 300 PPI to 326 PPI by just having the screen in front of your nose.
And also, 5 inches are better than 4.7 inches for the viewing experience.

Whatever, the camera of htc one isnt better than SGS4. And the display tech of sony Z is so cheap and ugly. You should check out the HD Super AMOLED packing SGS4, you simply wont notice any difference btween htc one and sgs4's screen with your eye
Wow I aree with you, I don't always go by reviews, so I tried it for myself, the phone is amazing.
The are some htc haters, your missing out. . . Big time !!
Anonymous, 23 Mar 2013Tell that to the photo compare tool. And tell it to the continued low sales of HTC, with no ca... moreI bet you have not even tried the phone. I have put up against most of the phones out there and seen for myself.
Have you ever asked yourself this question, why do I read about a phone test on one website and when I read another, different results.
Try it for yourself!!
AnonD-22824, 23 Mar 2013Htc is thinking that they r very smart but they r actually doing COST CUTTING buy giving CHEAP... moreSo how is it that they are cutting the cost and its out performing phone with 13mp. I have been a photographer for over 20 years, you really got it all wrong my friend.
It's the best camera phone on the market, with the sharpest screen. Even the Galaxy S4 won't have a screen as sharp as this, it's only 441 pip. The htc One is 468 pip and and it's noticeable, I have compared it to the Sony Z.
The One won hands down
Anonymous, 23 Mar 2013Hi, don't you know there's a new invention called portable battery pack/charger? Is it easie... moreI recommend everyone get a portable battery charger. You can run USB lights, speakers etc off them and extend your phone or tablet for several days. Many are a rip off though - look out on ebay etc plus Aldi do 7400 mah ones every year for $30 or $40. I've got two that I take camping and hiking plus they're great on long flights, both commercial and private. Try to get ones over 7000mah - that means you'll get 3 or more full phone charges.
Anonymous, 23 Mar 2013Some of the comments on here make me laugh. Don't take so personal, its only a phone.
Then ... moreTell that to the photo compare tool. And tell it to the continued low sales of HTC, with no card slot and low megapixel cam that gets beaten hard by budget phones from Sony and Samsung (in normal light) they pretty much nailed it if being pathetic was the goal.
HTC is making it too easy for Galaxy S4. Even Xperia Z, it stays stable at more than 2x the daily interest of One, the One made it to half the interest for the first time yesterday and is now dropping off again, at the same time as Xperia Z is gaining again. I wouldnt call that an overwhelming interest for One, or any other 3mpix phone out there for that matter.
Anonymous, 23 Mar 2013For me it's between the One and the X phone. First phone was HTC Hero, then had a Desire, ... moreYeah I had a Desire as my intro to smart phones and it was a revelation. It died of restart-itis after 15 months and like you, I went to an S2. I'm now on an S3 but I would definitely consider another HTC, both as a merit-based choice and also to offset the monolith that Samsung is becoming :-) It's great to see HTC is kicking goals again.
Some of the comments on here make me laugh. Don't take so personal, its only a phone.
Then again the HTC One is more than a phone.
As for wanting a phone with 13mp + waste if time if you don't print and enlarge. The most you need for a 1080p tv screen is 2.1 megapixel.
I did a test with mobile phone store staff. I took a picture at 1mp, 3mp, 5mp, 8mp not one of them could see the difference. The most common print size was 6x4, now its 0x0 most don't print. Facebook, instagram, flixster and your phone seems to be the most popular photo album.
Ultrapixel cameras can print at 10x8 no problem. The other thing about mega pixels is, the more you have, the more memory it takes up on your phone.
It was never about pixels, its all about the size of the sensor. A DSLR 8mp and a compact 8mp, what's the difference. The DSLR has a larger sensor, it also has larger pixels. HTC could not put a larger sensor, or this would be a tablet. But they were able to put larger pixels. The problem with most people, they think this kind of technology should come from Apple and thenSamsung would try and copy them.phone a very smart move by HTC . . .
Some manufactures cheat. They have a phone that has 5mp and then they bring out a new one with say 13mp. They use the same sensor they used for the 5mp. How do they fit them on, with small pixels. That's why when taking pictures in low light, they struggle.
But with the HTC One, they have tried to imitate a DSLR, very clever.
I have tested the One against the iPhone 5, Sony Z, Galaxy S3, Note 2 and the Galaxy camera and it beat them all in low light.
I also put it up against the Nokia 920 and on most occasions, they seem the same, on the odd it was a little better.
As for BoomSound, common sense that's all I can say. Putting speakers on the front, but with beats audio and the built-in amplifier, wow it sounds amazing.
Go try it for yourself, I did and now I have one.
AnonD-22824, 23 Mar 2013Htc is thinking that they r very smart but they r actually doing COST CUTTING buy giving CHEAP... moreAnd, the thing is, it does NOT beat 5mpix phones, load up Xperia U in the photo compare tool and see HTCs flagship for this year being owned by a lower midrange phone presented in february last year.
Its bad enough in widescreen, then add that it is only 3mpix in 4:3. This competes with Sony Ericsson W8, incredible....
