Chebulla, 05 May 2013HTC One is everything your phone isn't:
* Aluminium unibody with zerogap molding
* Ergonom... moreThe S4 is everything that HTC have been dreaming to make. This might be a little long so I'd get some popcorn or drinks if I was you which I'm not thanfully.
* S4 has a larger screen. S4 SAMOLED is FAR superior to the One's screen. You don't like colours well Samsung unlike HTC give you the option to alter the display mode.
*Longer battery life. Better standby. Exynos variant will be even better.
*More built in sensors eg Barometer, Thermometer, Hygroscope etc
*More file format support EG MKV files
* Latest Anroid 4.2.1
* Far richer software capabilities with Multi-tasking multiwindow, Pop up video player, Moving video thumbnails, Smart Alert, Smart Rotate, Smart Pause, Direct Call, More Software with it's camera, S Health features and more..
* Faster processor chip.
* Smaller. Thinner and lighter yet it has a larger display.
* More compact. Not talking about materials talking about the build. GSMarena has confirmed this.
* Higher RES Camera. Head to head shows the S4 eats it alive. Ultrapixels are all hype just like the phone itself. LOL
* There's plenty more to mention here but my last point is that because the S4 is a Samsung it automatically displaces the overrated HTC one.
#Dom't be mad bro.
samsung galaxy s4 is the best phone in history because it brings out a lot innovations in the mobile industy eg(.smart pause, air gestures, smart scroll) The s4 support wireless charging but htc one doesnt, the s4 can pause and play videos automatically which the htc one can never have, the galaxy s4 also has more sensors than the htc one,s4 also comes with external memory 64gb sd which doubles the htc one memory, and also support files format than the htc one eg(mkv)
be the one of those who is Common in all streets of India, or chose to be different be quietly brilliant
I used Samsung's product for year and I confess the are best but when I opted for htc I came to know this is bestest....
your money your decision
when it comes to providing advice I would suggest HTC
touch hard on Samsungs and touch hard on HTC's screen you'll know the basic difference
without any service centers HTC is doing quiet brilliant because it doesn't need service centers, you'll hardly find anything to resolve....
long live HTC
it has provided me such a beautiful experience with only 15000 rs which can't be provided by Samsung note 2 worth 35k...
all the very best
make smart choices
Kyle Vassallo, 06 May 2013I simply love HTC. One thing that's making me rethink of buying the HTC One is it's Camera. Ev... moreThe camera is nevertheless really, really good. Despite the 4MP resolution. So you can't zoom THAT much. Who cares. The photos are beautiful.
I simply love HTC. One thing that's making me rethink of buying the HTC One is it's Camera. Everything is simply fantastic. It's unibody , speakers, design, software! Also the battery is quite good and dont care if it's non removable or not. All i wanted is atleast make it 5mp but not 4! Is that hard to ask?!?
The body of GS4 is not made from plastic.
But made from POLYCARBONATE.
HTC One is everything your phone isn't:
* Aluminium unibody with zerogap molding
* Ergonomic curved back to fit your palm
* Stereo front speakers Beats audio
* Dedicated amplifiers for headphones and loudspeakers
* Ultrapixel camera that lets in 300% more light
* Recessed camera to reduce the chance of damage
* 88° Wide-angle 1080p HDR front facing camera
* ZOE photo-manipulation and picture taking
* A gallery brought to life with highlight reel and ZOE
* BlinkFeed keeps you updated with the world glancing your home screen in a blink of an eye.
* IR blaster to control your TV and provide you a guide with recomendations and reminders
* Intuitive, fresh and easy to use Sense 5 to make your phone look stylish, young and professional.
There is a lot of conflicting information on these two phones and surely this points to the fact that they are practically the same for all intents and purposes and that the differences are feature based more than anything else.
This review did seem slightly skewed to the S4 admittedly. Claims that S4 takes better low lighting images is simply not true. Try a no lighting image and you'll see the difference. The S4 camera is however better in res, period. But the smaller FOV is a big trade off, at top res you're taking a 4:3 of the real world.
Has anyone actually posting here used these two?? Tech specs and reviews vary but the overall experience is simply flawless on the HTC One. I played with them both in store extensively and the S4 just lags here and there, One not once. The user experience is simply better on the One and the lag is noticeable on the S4.
The last and main point is that AMOLED is a dying breed. Samsung is simply pushing the envelope because it's their patent. The HTC one is infinitely brighter though the S4 has awesome colour. But the overall screen is blue/green! Anyone who can't see this is blind. No amount of Adobe RBG setting can fix this. Furthermore, over time AMOLED burns in, LCD3 is far more resistant.
Haven't had an HTC since the Hero but I'm going back to it. No fanboy here, have been on all iPhones since the 3S.
Haha, awesome comments! I will go for the One because the difference is actually really small. I had samsung galaxy s3 and now I want something different. S4 is prolly better, but if the difference can only be seen with high-end tests, I will choose the more interesting One. Happy fanboying guys :]
i had the htc one and the samsung s4 and i really liked the htc one more than s4 the design is brilliant the UI is amazing and smooth and i really dont like the samsung it feels like a toy of plasticc body and that something i hate and for the performance i prefer the htc one quadcore more than the s4 octa core cuz i really cant touch that octa core otherwise its slow and have bugs more than the htc so i recomend the htc one go buy it samsung is tottaly fail company in mobile design the only thing that makes samsung stand is the android software
It is quite interesting that almost half of all reviews support the HTC One, which is clearly the top-trumped underdog. It is plainly visible that an LCD screen with very low contrast will always be more battery demanding than an AMOLED screen. It is also a blatanly obvious fact that HTC have committed an elementary mistake by putting a low-res sensor when it is common knowledge that low resolution=poor detail level+horrible noise levels. Lastly, the unibody means the user will not be able to change the battery to, say, perform a reset, and that he/she will be living with the fear of scratches on the back panel.
Bad form, HTC. The phone is very sellable, just cut the darned premium on build quality.
Harex, 24 Apr 2013So much buyer doesn't mean the product is brilliant. Samsung has branding and marketing better... moreDo you read at all ? Find on google s3 vs s4 comparison.I doubt that you will say it again 'nothing new',LoL!
Hey if any of u is going for the sleek and beautiful design thn i suggest u nt to go for it as it looks dull after a few days. We all know aluminium undergoes oxidation. And if u drop your htc one the display wont survive. And even if it does u will find many scratches and dents on ur ph. Trust me i had a nokia ph with aluminium cabinet and trust me u will be afraid to keep ur ph on a rough surface. And i dont think anyone will use covers if they wanna showoff their sleek body ph. So going for htc one?? Get a car dent remover first haha.
And i am not saying that htc is complete waste but the features on which htc is relying on are not so great. 4ultrapixel camera?? Its good to compare it with a 4 or 8mp camera but 13mp is way above 4up. And beats audio?? I gotta admit that i never use speakers to listn music. Always use earphones.
The non removable battery is a bad move made by the company as it hasnt got any service centers in india. And a card slot is definitely needed by a phone. And some people are saying it has got more ppi.. i dont think anyone can see a individual pixel. Its not a great comparision. I hav heard many of my friends say that the full form of htc is highly troubled cell. Hahahaha.
And htc is not providing updates as my friends say. And it hasnt got any service centre.
Samsung on the other hand has many innovative features like smart stay scroll airview. Etc etc...
Multiwindow is also a great multitasking feature.
But i think no one is going to use multiwindow and smart scroll.
But airview and smaty stay can be used for many purposes. Battery life is also good. Anyone can combine raw hardware of more powerbut being innovative is great. Samsung releases regular updates which is great. I dont think there is much difference between s4 and one.. but its great to hav more features and i think iam going for s4. Good luck to people buying htc one
Seriously...I didn't thought that HTC had so many fanboys...Where do you all come from?Previous frustrated?
Geez...That's a review! Is you don't like the GS4, don't buy it.For GSMARENA, it is still a better overall phone than the One, and there is nothing you can do about this, stop embarassing yourselves.
Galaxy S4 and HTC One photo comparison:
In my opinion the photos made by HTC One are better looking.
s4 all the way for my primary device.
xz as my secondary device (or maybe a nokia wp8).
i don't like small screens and big bezels.
i don't like aluminum soda can casing.
i don't like stereo speakers that are 4 inches apart...!?
truthbetold, 22 Apr 2013Cool, then I give the HTC One a "woogie button".. Hoping you all get off the S4 so t... moreSo much buyer doesn't mean the product is brilliant. Samsung has branding and marketing better than HTC. Buying S4 is a kind of buying other Galaxy with different name. Their product is all the same, nothing new.
