Sure, the Samsung wins but not by much. I'm also disappointed as to why the HTC One S wasn't included in the benchmarking area as in various tests, it actually outperforms the One X, but obviously, it isn't a 'flagship' so no one cares about it; even if it can perform up to that standard.

Out of the two, I'd rather have the HTC. There's a lot of hatred towards Samsung's Galaxy S IV recently. Most of these haters used to hate the One ... that was until the Galaxy was unveiled. Well done, Samsung(!)

This article is well writen and provides a lot of detail about these two phones. The Galaxy S4 is most likely to be my next phone. Thanks for the information, gsmarena.

yo, 01 Apr 2013"Most of this , that you call gimmick soon will be standard for all smartphones, even for... moreYup. Everything is useless or a gimmick. We don't need touch screens, we dont need live wall paers, cameras not important. We dont need HD recording and high MP cmaera. We dont need 1Ghz, we dont need 1gb ram, we dont need dual core, we dont need HD screen, we dont need this. Thats a gimmick.blah blah blah....especially when it's Samsung doing it. To half of which nobody would be saying anything if it was made of glass. But its "ugly and gimiicky" haha. Oh well. But technology moves on and Samsung is continuing to lead

But I do truly and honestly commend them for being first and taking the risks and advantage and we will already see updated results which means we might see another update to further improve the cameras performance.

i say HTC deserves a mention as the first (once again) company who brought the ultrapixel technology, even if it's only 4MP. just wait until they launch HTC Two with 13MP ultrapixel!! xD and all will bow down to HTC!

People don't realise that although Samsung may have "invented" some S features they are more or less just gimmicks that aren't that useful anyways. People I know including myself, don't use half of it (or more) and the features are just disabled. S voice, smart rotate, multi window... Disabled.

People don't realise HTC gave us the first Android phone, and of course first Sense phone that actually made Android useful. Android wouldn't be what it is today if it weren't for HTC and Sense UI. Others only copy it and it's features. From motion control, speed dialer to camera controls and features and so on. I'm really happy to see HTC on the rise again and I hope they take the Android throne back from Samsung. As soon as it lands in my country I intend to sell my Galaxy Note2 in favor of HTC One. The body, the screen, the sound, the UI, the camera. BlinkFeed, Zoe, BoomSound are just some of the things that make me want to have it. Cheers!

You have to stress on other aspects as well like Cgorilla glass 3 vs 2 there is huge technical difference and not just version upgrade due to slimming of the glass which is the case between 1 & 2.

man, you just said what i thought some time ago when the gimmick thing started to appear...some features today were considered gimmicks in the past....THATS THE BEAUTY OF ANDROID...to me a live wallpaper is gimmick, but is really nice to have it...a lot of S 4 features are considered gimmicks, but to me, most of them i would really use it, like the scroll thing...that depends on you...if these or that are gimmicks, its really nice to have it...go to XDA and you see a lot of gimmicks, but most of the users think its cool! iphone is a boring phone, cuz doesnt have those gimmicks...thats why a lot of iphone users jailbreak their phones, "to get their gimmicks", also, a lot of android phones are rooted to get other android phones'gimmicks. WAY TO GO SAMSUNG.
