But anyway, maybe some people get a bad luck...

Well both of this are very expensive devices and can deliver one can possibly imagine from a cell phone. I like both of them. But there is a doubt, I saw in IFIXIT they have given htc one 1 out of 10. Which means repairibility is impossible, so if you drop ur phone by any chance and if the screen breaks there is no way this can be fixed. So that means either i have to stay with a broken lcd or to replace that i have to pay an equal amount of money as to buy a new phone.Your thoughts on this front please. Galaxy s4 scores are yet to come though

Both great phones, but looking at them from an unbiased view, technically, the s4 has the upper hand.

It's up to the common users to choose either looks/build quality or function/software features.

Well done HTC, Samsung. The customer wins either way.
Choice is always good. 2013 is gonna be awesome.

wow! well written. Good comparisons. I guess sammy boys will stick to sammy and HTC droids will snatch the iphone users.. as the feel and look is way ahead of the boring iphone 5 but in the same mold... so i hope htc can get some more people out there coz my heart is set on the "THE ONE"

Point 1 & 2. You don't need to take every picture with full 13MP resolution. With 13MP, you have the luxury of choices (more rooms) to downgrade to whatever resolution and size you are comfortable with. Bare in mind, 4UP is only about as good as a 8MP and below camera.

Point 3. Not best at all after even the newest firmware upgrade on 26th Mar. Read the article.

Point 4. It's your choice and I respect that. I am no fanboy either.

iFixit is an authority site in the mobile repair area, else others won't just blindly republish their research. Read it and see how they dissemble the HTC ONE step-by-step with pictures and explanation. How they come to the conclusion that it is unrepairable.

I suggest that this (repairability) should be included in this review.

All are based on facts. I think it is fair for every potention buyer to be informed before making any decision that HTC ONE is the FIRST in smartphone history that cannot be fixed or repaired by any shop repairman. As warranty only cover manufacturing defects. What if you accidentally drop and break the screen? Bye bye to the phone. This is not a low price phone that everyone can simply ignore it repairability and get a new one. If you are aware and still decide to go ahead, it's your choice. I respect that.

The 3 points I posted previously are quoted directly from technobloom news article (refer to my previous post) and they get the research from iFixit.

Practicality means everything to me from hardware to software from the performance to the support..compared to HTC one S4 is not a beauty but definitely not ugly infact for me it has a better design than s3 and note 2..it may not be the best good looking phone but it has all what i need..people dont need to brag that their devices are better from the other cz for sure u choose a phone based on your own preference..if u r for a design to show off to ur friends then HTC is for you and S4 is for productivity like most people want to have..i own 2 iphone 4s the first one got stolen i was about to buy htc one x but i just dont feel having a new phone which lacks support so i bought another 4s again no iphone 5 that time but this S4 is what ive been waiting for for people who like me who plans to move from iOs to Andriod :)

GSMA, where's your review on MP vs UP?

Alot of ppl still have the mindset of having bigger MP is better than low MP.. but for me I prefer HTC ONE 4UP.. just because of:

                                    1. Ask yourself when is your last time to develop 4R photos that you took from your camera phone?? (for me I never, usually kept in PC, posted to FB, whatsapp, MMS only) Bared in my that even 13MP size posted to FB, once you download it back, it's already downsized.

                                    2. Filesize. I took from HTC ONE with 4UP, its only 800kB-1.2MB. unlike other 8MP or 13MP which can goes up to 7MB size. If I use ONE to capture 100 photos, its only cause me around 100MB. If you use 13MP, it cause you around 600MB.

                                    3. Best low light because of UP. Simply less noise compared to other phones. Just hands on when it is available.

                                    4. No fanboys, no haters or whatever thought, I choose ONE because it suit my needs and usage pattern. Why, because i dont manually resize photos, i stored in pc, so less space if just low MP.
