Well done GSM ARENA for a very good comparison between these two Android beasts! I am a little disappointed that the HTC One came out second best in a number of the tests but having owned a Galaxy S3 for the last year or so, I would love to now upgrade to the HTC One.
Having spent £500 to purchase the Galaxy S3, I hate the fact that it feels like a toy. The hyperglaze finish is so smooth that it is almost impossible to use the S3 without a cover.
With the S3 I feel compelled to use a cover because when I am not using a cover, I notice that paint is chipping from the (faux metal) edges and it is also very easy to drop due to it's (very) smooth finish.
This debate about build quality reminds me of Macbook Pro versus the countless Windows machines that have far greater specs but are let down by the build quality and finish.
I have a Macbook Pro and even in a room full of high spec Windows machines, mine still elicits envious looks.
When the spec differences are so minor - I know which device I would prefer to have!
PS: For the HTC One; Don't worry about no toggles in notification bar. Simply download "Power Toggles" from Google Play and Pin the "widget" into the notification bar - Job done!

HTC lost the battle marginally. i thought it would be more of another one sided duel. well done HTC. i was really worried with the battery. But its also close to S4. now i have no doubt in my mind getting the One, to rule them all :) looks, build and design is more important to me than just some gimmicks.

A lot of but hurt Sam fanboys here. I got a One and its amazing, I'll be getting a S4 too. Hardly any of you can form an opinion on the One till you've used one and when you do, you'll be blown away by the screen, speakers and design. Nothing gimmick about it, its brilliant and I've been a big HTC hater in the past. This phone is beautiful.

S4 blows htc one in every way, but I was horrified to see samsung have dropped the RDS Radio on the S4. WTF.. This alone is a deal breaker for me. I will stay with my S3. still the best all ropund phone... samsung u gonna regret this..

Seen from an objective standpoint; I declare the Galaxy S4 to the the better phone. Period!

I don't really agree that the SIV is smaller than the One. And I've seen many sites state it... It's 0.8 mm shorter but 1.6 mm WIDER. Noone mentions that. Of course it's 5 vs 4.7 inches but I'm talking about the dimensions of the body regradless the screen.
