AnonD-100398, 27 Mar 20131) This was not a fair comparision 2)HTC one stands nowhere near the SGS4 in performance a... moreThe Z camera i far worse than the S4 camera, and the Z screen is a total disaster, and the Z sound quality is very bad because of the "waterproofing", and having to remove a flap/cover everytime you want to plug in headphones is very annoying, and the design is just a flat boring rectangle and is more like no "design" at all, and the flat backpanel and sharp edges make it uncomfortable in the hand, and even gorilla glass can not survive any accidental drops because it is mostly made to be scratch resistant but is not really good if dropped so Z needs a "plastic" case just as the iPhone 4S needs a "plastic" case even though it is made of "strong" glass!

dealbreaker when compared to galaxy S4:
price
bad screen
battery life
since most other things are similar so can be considered tie.
s4 wins again....

OHMY!!! u just saw the minor design changes and looks of touchwiz doesnt mean a its a big leap? y dont u have a critical analysis! even d design got some marvelous achievement! aluminum and plastic have the most number of disadvantages than polycarbonate.. do u really want samsung to change touchwiz looks yearly?? even the SuperaMOLED turned into fullHD is being talked abt now bcoz it is the first of its kind and thats how samsung innovate!, and all features of s4 are plus points addl to the last year's amazing features!!!

htc one has 4MP ultra pixel camera. good i ll buy one new DSLR camera.
htc one has boom boom speaker well. i ll buy one 7.1 speaker.
htc one has aluminium body.well i ll buy new case cover which will protect my phone.
SGS4 has removal battery. but we cant buy removal battery for htc one.
SGS4 is a faster smartphone. we cant increase our performance in htc one.
SGS4 has lots of features. but htc one doesnt has.
SGS4 has gesture and humidity sensors . htc one doesnt has.
HTC one is a normal smartphone. almost all other phones has it is. but SGS4 has some special features. and its helpful for our daily life. i can spend my money for buy SGS4. not HTC one.

You didn't even answer my question on the year of your precious htc phone won the smartphone of the year award, yet you talked about sales number when everybody knows that there's not a single android phone out there can out sold even the original Galaxy S, let alone the S II and I won't even mention the S III.

All the but hurt htc fans in here. Sorry but s4 has done it again and the exynos version is better then the snapdragon version. Good looks don't take better photos nor make a phone unique. The new air features do. SIV 4 THE WIN

HTC ONE is good but please don't compare it with the S4
Samsung knows how to draw attention for masses see the
screen see the camera and then comment wheather a phone is made of plastic or allumiun no one will drop their phones so their is absolutely no comparison between S4 and the HTC ONE.

[deleted post]The camera on S4 is far better than the camera on HTC One, it does not matter if you upscale or downsize or zoom in, the S4 camera is still always far better, even when taking pictures in the dark!
I do not think cheap "beer can" aluminium looks better than advanced polycarbonate, and the CE.. text on the back of HTC One looks really ugly, and that "beer can" aluminium is far to slippery so it needs a "plastic" case!

The only disadvantage of sgs4 is "cheap plastic". BTW i am buying sgs4. Currently using htc one x.

3).GSMA sud have compaired sgs4 with Sony xperia Z.....and that wud have been tough battle.

And... moreIncrease in PPI does benefit to daily work. A higher PPI allows one to read more text and clearer too especially when zooming into web pages.
On the other hand, phone designs are mainly for showing off. Is like "oh, my phone is made of metal thus more value for money, while yours is made of cheap plastic". No? Do share how can metal make your work more efficient or productive?

Phone camera is for snapping and view on PC, upload to facebook and etc. How many will actually print it out?
And upscale photo printout never good.
Normal printing (normal 4R) no need re-size the photo, as even 2MP can print it out nicely.

And about the "good screen" thing: the Galaxy S2 have a good a screen, the HTC One S have a good screen, the iPhone 4 have a good screen, the Nokia N9 have a good screen... All of these phones have great screens, now the only thing they are doing is increasing PPI even further which simply isn't something that will help you in daily work, it's only something that make the screen look (slightly) better, so it's aesthetics, just like phone design. I'm not putting words on your mouth, I'm just saying that it's the same thing. But luckly, the HTC One doesn't only look great, but also have a great screen, not a monochromatic one.

Most of the users who buy S4 will also buy a leather cover which looks cool and also protects the screen taking away the advantage of HTC One's Aluminium.
