Design is a bit played out by now
Hyperglaze finish doesn't feel as premium as aluminum on HTC One or glass on Xperia Z
No FM radio
Video recording is slightly worse than on the Galaxy S III; FOV in video is pretty narrow
Shared camera interface makes framing tricky
This phone is VERY UGLY! LOL!
Super amoled hd with high contrast will be superb. Surely it is my next smart phone.
AnonD-39582, 29 Mar 2013The S4 is a really great phone, and that's coming from a Nokia Fan. All they now need to do is... moreNo it doesn't looks childish. It's looks clean and simple.
That's what peoples want to have.
The S4 is a really great phone, and that's coming from a Nokia Fan. All they now need to do is to make the ui better looking. It looks childish.
AnonD-129371, 29 Mar 2013Who uses FM anymore? That's for poor people who can't afford a data plan. The people who cried about lack of FM radio when the Lumia dropped support. I know, right. Analogue radio is finally getting a few more nails in the coffin. Too slowly tho.

Tom-Helge, 29 Mar 2013Not sure if you are blind or plain stupid. But the Galaxy S IV have Adobe RGB color setting un... moreAgree! He is just iTroll, and he will repeat this "color" iBS no matter what. LOL
Besides, AMOLED is the best contrast display tech, today.
Another big success for Samsung but for me I'm waiting for Note III. I need a hybrid tablet/phone for my needs.
All the haters can just point out it is plastic! They probably put the their metal phone in a plastic case LOL. The vast majority of people put their phones in a cases so you don't feel or see the metal anyway.
Plastic is better than metal.
Plastic is flexible, metal is rigid and can dent, ding, scratch much easier.
You own a car you'll know...
I have owned many metal phones, laptops, cars. All suffer badly.
Plastic allows the S4 to be light weight, strong, flexible. A metal back cover will require to be thick and heavy for it not to bend out of shape. Metal is rubbish...
This allows for removable battery. A big plus and also has removable Micro SD.
I don't need to listen to the haters because most of them are jealous there phone is not selling so well. People choose the best and the sales will show.
[deleted post]Not sure if you are blind or plain stupid. But the Galaxy S IV have Adobe RGB color setting under the screen setting witch makes your argument against the colors on AMOLED screens today invalid.
If I was to buy an Android phone right now, I would be torn between this and the HTC One. Both have some great good points and some bad points.
I think I'd have to go for the HTC though. Camera quality isn't high on my list, and cameras on phones are very functional so for Youtube and Facebook there's no real comparison. The HTC display is superior as well in my eyes. I shouldn't have to adjust settings to make the display pretend to be something it is not.
Finally, the bloatware is what really lets this phone down. God knows what carriers will stick on it, on top of Samsungs own software which is on top on Jelly Beans. Rooting it would be the answer, but it's a real time waster when you factor in some of the software you want to keep. It's why I use an iPhone these days.
Nowhere in the hardware section I got to see about the newly included metal sideframe of the s4...its a great improvement over the previous Samsung flagships which had plastic bumpers coated with paint that wore off easily...please include it in your review...great aesthetic and build improvement..
Bravo to GSMArena for such marvelous review. Thank you for all the hard work you put to bring out what possibly is the most detailed review of GS4 (or any other phone infact ) out there. Outstanding device by Samsung. No problem with looks either since the only problematic part, the rather cheap looking plastic back in actual serve purposes what many complaint of.
In addition to that, please update the speaker performance test of SG4 vs One.
