AnonD-78115, 29 Mar 2013Yes, grow up and stop getting fooled by stylish designs with no brain. Performance, features... moreIn some point I agree with you that features and function should be priority over design. But it is not that simple, let say GS4 offers you feature 10 points and design 7 points vs One offers you feature 9 points and design 9 points, which one you choose? I personally tend to seek balance, but maybe other people really dont care on design and definitely choose GS4 over One or other like Xperia Z. That is right, because smartphone nowdays is personal thing, just like watch or car.

Performance, features, and ease of use should be the main priority.

Windows Phone? Come back to me when you can attach more than 1 office documents or any file types to emails. Talk to me only when Windows Phone support wireless file transfer. Tell me more only when Windows Phone support HD screens.
Yes, Android has lots of cpu power. So what? That's because Android is a true powerful OS, unlike Windows Phone. I dunno whats your problem with having multicores. Windows Phones started without multicores too but look at all the windows phones now. All having multicores. So do you mean Windows Phones are getting slower too?
If you don't like Android phones, get out of this discussion then! If you don't like big screens and 13MP cameras, just get the hell out of here! No one is pointing a gun on your head to get S4. Simply as that. Why all the fuss and showing off all your nonsense? Please know what you are using, before giving advises.

good news, samsung exynos octa chip supports lte. Now its best performer+power efficient smartphone.
Korea product have bad design, the only way out is to hire a european or american designer like their car manufacturer.
Wow, honestly, once again, I have to admit that some of GS4 features are great. And before I experience my self, I bit regret that One only use 4MP sensor. I am still going to buy One because it offers the best design and built material, so that my sacrificing toward hardware and features mean nothing...
Samsung should learn from other... they have to improve the product design... and worse in S4 no radio,... come on Samsung.. radio is a must in india :P
everything nearly perfect except the body made of plastic make it look like cheap device and not high classes like Iphone5 or HTC One or even Xperia Z.
For those of you who chose form (aesthetics) over functionality then it goes to show you're just a show off.
Luckily form and function comes closely knit in some of the flagships nowadays. For me the S 4 isn't good looking but it isn't ugly either. To each his own.
no octa - no money - no excuses sammy
will not settle for quad core and bs lte when we dont even need it. most people use wifi. people are no dummies to throw away their money
I like this phone a lot. I'm sold on the Super Amoled.
One thing I noticed is.. the camera looks good, it's really good but.. the oversharpening algorithm is really too aggressive. I hope they fix this with an update.
Also the review claims the colors are a little too saturated, I'd say the grass is undersaturated, making the pictures look a little liveless. The SGS3 took more saturated (especially green, red, yellow) pictures and it looked better, they looked so alive and nice.
Both of my issues with the camera can be easily fixed with a software update (or adding an option for color saturation on pictures) and even with these it's still the best camera on a smartphone, second only to Nokia Pureview (I have to give it to Nokia).
AnonD-78115, 28 Mar 2013most of the disadvantages r unnecessarythey had to put those otherwise the anti-Samsung people will throw a fit. LOL
Very good review can't wait to get my hands on this phone, it will be a massive change for me as i'm using Nokia N8, it will a complete different ball game when i start using this awesome phone, Harry up and come out :)
Anonymous, 28 Mar 2013You dont understand crowd mentality, i guess you are one of those eccentric people i was talki... moreSebastian, you are giving advice here? Ok, for a guy who bought and used the Note II and complained across forums on how terrible AMOLED screen is & hated almost all feature aspects, and who now has an Xperia Z and tells how terrible the S IV's screen is compared to the TFT screen, you don't consider yourself eccentric?
For an anonymous jackanapes who obsessed with the Xperia Z being the ultimate smartphone, you are sourgraping again in these Samsung related forums? Now you wish people not to be buying the S IV because it would mean your XZ to be inferior?
You are a kibitzer. Cellular smartphones aren't exclusive status symbols. That was what you had in mind for the XZ with you wishing it should be selling in the thousands only. Here comes the S IV with the great set of new features with a nice S AMOLED 1080p screen and a target of 100 million units to be sold. What? You would hate everyone else outgunning your "exclusive" Xperia Z?
Stop advising us about eccentricity. You aren't the right person to do so. Anyone has the right to buy an S IV.
Surprisingly not worth upgrading from note2 to s4. Practically they don't differ much, whatever you need to do with your phone, note2 will do just fine, and s4 seems so slightly better that i wonder if i will notice the difference. Let's hope note3 brings some better really useful features.
SO CHOKE FULL OF AWESOME FEATURES!! Samsung Thank yOU! - no other phones got air touch, smart options, thermometer, barometer, etc!
