That why people start to look on design and material build.
If you said Z fragile, then you shall look it drop test. It was quite harder. I am pretty sure S 4 more fragile than Z. HTC One wise, it was aluminium case, well known it not support to drop. Actually no phone was design to drop, care is the issue on why some people phone terrible break here and there.

No need movie mode, the Natural screen mode already something wrong, at least it was pure bad in S III render (I rather let it saturate as the natural or movie mode was too bad in S III), slightly ok in Note II.

But since these 2 smartphone are already super race car, whatever you choose, you won't ever regret or feel slow, because these 2 phones (3 actually include HTC One)'s speed and performance are way above the requirement to run the last Android OS. And if it comes to design, that becomes personal preference, despite there is always universal or common opinion, which say that HTC One and Xperia Z look is indeed more attractive than SGS4, again this is how statictic works, there won't be an absolute things.

Even a proper review I read before, S 4 is near match the RGB now but it was not as match as what did by HTC One SLCD 3 or even Apple iPhone 5.
It was not even a close fight, S4 totally destroyed Z!
HTC One did a lot better than Z, but it also lost against S4!
I actually think S4 looks very good and feels very comfortable in the hand! The Z glass is a fingerprint magnet and the "design" is just a boring flat rectangle with ugly CE... text on the backpanel, and the powerbotton ruins the black design, and having to remove the flap every time headphones are plugged in is really annoying and having this flap open in a tight pants pocket will not be good, and glass is fragile so Z needs a protective case just as iPhone 4S do!

Note II is my sister phone now but I help her setup everything. They is no banding issue at Note II thanks to it non-PenTile screen.
Also a lot user that do photography, example some of my friends was pretty dislike the AMOLED due to it truly fake over saturate color issue.
S III screen never satisfied to me due to it banding issue, until now just Siyah kernel, Boeffla kernel & CM kernel fix it, but in stock, the banding still there.
So xz just like beautiful sexy girl with a smart brain. Meanwhile s4 like genius bulky girl and have no look. I think im in love with the z
Waterproof is a matter to me when at the pool or beach. Its hard to find a beautiful waterproof superphone in the market. In my opinion, the features almost tie in all categorries. So I go with the z.

OLED techs are simply better because they address all shortcomings of LCD screens and at the same time deliver same/similar level of quality where LCDs shine.
I doubt you ever saw an AMOLED screen, I don't believe you had any of those Samsung phones. I'm yet to see a person dissatisfied with his Amoled. I wish ignorance and lying just to convince other people to your opinions because you believe they might be right based only on prejudice were banned here, because the level of discussion on GSMArena has reached an all time low.
I still remember the times when this website was populated with people into mobile technology and people who wanted to learn. Now everyone's a screen expert.

It is reported that the S IV's AMOLED screen is as superior to LCD color rendering. It's improved. Better than the S III or Note II. I'm game for the Note III as i need the S Pen for digital painting - and it must have the same superior AMOLED screen superior or even better hardware specs.

I never said S 4 AMOLED screen was bad, but I am pointing out it was not as great as here tell you or you though.
It was better than previous AMOLED but not the best. In general, it was far better than Xperia Z as Xperia Z screen was washed out and bad viewing angle.
But this not means it was the best screen in market.
SuperLCD 3 / IPS screen anytime better than this. AMOLED is not the best screen out there.
- 1st - HTC One SuperLCD 3
- 2nd - S 4 AMOLED
- 3rd - Xperia Z (it will be last place forever due to it damn lousy viewing angle and washed out issue, even though sharpness was better than S 4 but naked eye cannot see where viewing angle and washed out issue can be spot easily by naked eye).

OK does it really matter if a phone performs well if it easily breaks?
Ask S3 and note2 ... moreCough, cough, cough. I'm an owner of a Note I & II. I can attest that performance is superb. And one aspect the Note II beats the XZ is battery usage .
Sony had to decide with a thin body and didn't consider at least a 3000mAh battery for a "power house" device. Xperia Z owners have a new hobby as posted in the XDA Developers forums - who gets to have a longer battery life. All the trouble by not using XZ so much so they don't have to charge it halfway during the day.
What's the use of having a nice looking device when you can't get around to using the power inefficient FHD screen because you know it has some 4 hours screen time per charge? You can't use the XZ as a hotshot so much either. You can't play high end games so much because it processor essays up battery so much too and produces a lot of heat. You can't sync much accounts because it eats up battery.
So, there's a limitation to the power efficiency of the XZ and the stamina mode only works with the screen is off! This is the report of honest actual owners of the XZ's real battery usage. One reported with am almost 2 hour usage for 24 hours time. Man, you can't even change to a fresh battery. This is the consequence of the waterproofing aspect of the XZ. Nothing is more practical than being able to change batteries and it doesn't even take a minute to do so.
You either bring a charger or a power bank all the time to charge the XZ if you want to be "mobile" - for those who move about often.
Seeing that the S IV had a similar battery stamina with the Note II, I'm pretty confident it'll give me at least 12 hours of HEAVY use per battery charge with about 8 hours plus of screen on with a FULL HD AMOLED screen! No worries on turning on 3G data/wifi, bluetooth connection, internet radio, and probably 1GB torrent worth downloading in the background daily. I can achieve 16 to 20 hours at most with my Note II with this heavy usage. Some light to moderate users report 2 days of usage on a single charge.
This morning, my battery is at 79% with 5 hours unplugged having 2 hours of screen time on wifi. An XZ owner would report that his battery indicator would be some 40% with the same usage. You can keep your "superior" design.
Anonymous, 01 Apr 2013Lmao. You must be new here. Yes before the natural settings were a little less close than now,... moreI am new? Haha!
I am pretty sure I use more phone than you.
You can't really tell the goods of it, then throw said I am new? OMG!
Tell you I am user of S III and Note II. I know how it work and look.
S III was pretty bad with color banding issue which naked eye can seen, thanks XDA fixed it via software render fixed which eventually affecting the performance slightly.
Since LCD can generate great output which is accurate and not lost the suppose vivid color, they is no need to have color tune did as Samsung which never great beside using it default setting.

And who needs cool or unique features and things other people dont offer. We dont need nicer screens or better cameras either. All just because its not the flashiest design. Its no where near ugly. Infact looks better from front. It just isnt glass. And the fact thats its entire design is made to fit in your hand better, more comfortably, and efficiently which it does. Nope...just cause it looks more simple.
On the other hand what we need is a company that indeed makes nice handsets and decent designs, but is always a year behind, has been falling behind in cameras, uses older hardware and all around doesnt compare...all cause i like that its in glass. For that reason nothing else matters. Now if the z had the s4's internals you would be trashing left and right about its power
S4 smashes XZ to the ground... no way it cant even touch the performance of S4... apart from some fancy gimmicks like waterproof n fireproof nothing is there in XZ.. some will roast their XZ along wid chicken to show its fireproof to others ;) lol n come on dont say u'll take a bath wid ur XZ on a bath tub... i wud prefer my gf instead of my phone ;) lol... what z point of carrying phone to a place of waterbodies?? that totally foolish... also XZ is not even complete 5" screen phone coz that ugly on screen button adds uglyness in its brick looking design... i would rather choose a product which lives in land like human than the fish, who lives in water... njoy ur bath xperia z owners... hahahaha
[deleted post]Lmao. You must be new here. Yes before the natural settings were a little less close than now, but still not terrible and again at least they offer both. And now its nearly as perfect as LCD while still offering the advantages of Amoled. And you still try to compare like that?
Also most didnt know about Pentile until it was explained. Then at 720p you couldnt even teally tell. Now its better arranged and 1080p 441ppi. It is not less clear. Its just as sharp, but superior in ever manner. Unless you have a microscope that zoom up to individual pixel detail which your eyes cant.
But keep hating
theres more to come for sony
so watch out!! hahahaha
then again, an outdated phone is selling very good around the globe. that's sony
no need for beastly speed and other useless features.
