Look guys...I am sure that siyah will make a custom kernel for 9500 and then u can check the real performance of a15...on s3 and s2 siyaj made a mod that we can choose how mant cores we want to use and this will be on the 9500...we can choose cortex a15 only or cortex a7 and different mode like 2 cores of a15 and 2 cores of a7 then u can see much better perfomance or if u don't like that overclock at 1.9 ghz the a15 and then compare it with the 1.9 snapdragon...and remember for the gpu...if u overclock sgx544mp3 to 600mhz+ like on s3 with mali 400 u will see REAL PERFORMANCE

Samsung just conned a lot of people into buying "Octa Core". It's just two quad cores people! And it's not even efficient!

I'm sure that Samsung on purpose, didn't optimize the battery life of S4 Octa version, so to sell good S4 Snapdragon 600 version now, until they catch up with the production of Exinos Octa.
If you don't believe me read about big.LITTLE Processing, battery management.
When Samsung is ready with the supply of Exinos Octa, one update will do the miracle.

rj23, 28 May 2013If you have the i9500 variant, you may tell everyone that you have a phone with eight cores an... moreWell, most tech geeks would probably opt for i9500 rather than i9505 mainly because appreciating the technology of 4+4 cores. I'm not sure about in the Philippines but over here in Malaysia people prefer Octa instead. I rather have 7 speed DSG gearbox in my car than having 6 speed CVT gearbox. Get my point?

Remove all the bloatwares, optimise OS, optimise CPUs and you'd notice the real difference.

I'm very enthusiastic about latest tech. and like to keep in track, but, there r currently no phones which deserve my hard earned money or attention to purchase them nor do they offer much 2 justify it. I do use a phone, but, it's a basic "feature" phone and does whatever a phone's meant to do - make/receive calls n messages and guess what it offers me nearly a week's battery life n it doesn't have any fancy octa/quad core processor or anything of that sort n I'm really happy too! D point is most of us believe that possessing d latest n greatest gadgets, cars etc. makes us happier or improves the quality of our lives - they do not. Simple things can give us a lot of joy too n u don't need 2 be a millionaire or celeb or hotshot 2 b happy!

Ben, 28 May 2013Yep, this is always the case with electronics. I don't know why people are surprised about thi... moreAny dummies know that for sure. But this is not about that. Octacore is underclocked lower than Snapdragon version. Octa is running on A15 processors and performing slightly better than Snapdragon although it is running on lower CPU frequency.

It also has quad A7 processors which should give improved battery life. The Octa suppose to perform faster while maintaining power efficiency. That is the reason why Exynos Octa was created in the first place. Samsung/ARM just failed to optimise it for Android OS and it is beyond simple electronics. That's thy ppl are just suprised with the performance of Octa. Well, san just hope for future updates.

My Sony XBA-4iP IEMs are severely distorted by my SCH-I545 (Verizon Galaxy S4)! XDA has a lot of discussion and whatever the issue, low impedance headphones seems to be the common factor.

It offers better battery than it would've otherwise. It still has work in optimizing considering it's the firs of it's kind obviously and the A-15's as well are not as optimized yet. You can only expect better from it in time. You obviously don't understand the tech or the word gimmick. Beats is a gimmick. Things like dual, quad, FHD, Octa, ultra pixel, and so forth are not gimmicks.

Hey man. I just am just amazed with Samsung’s ability to produce a mobile we don’t really need and have it sell like crazy for little reason apart from vanity. Very cool indeed. Love it. Me – well, I don’t really have to work hard so my mobile phone is a very well paid personal assistant, so in fact I don’t have a mobile and I do enjoy my life instead of farting around on the mobile. I just look at emails every now and then and continue with my travels to where ever.

Ony octa has wolfson dac inside, maybe with a good headphone some audiophiles can hear the difference.
