The only thing note8/10 have over this tablet is the pen.

Don't get cheated by "features".. it only bloats your device, you can always download features you need from the play store.

For a video comparison review of iPad4, Nexus10, Asus Padfone, Note10.1 and XTZ tablets, watch this:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wPbOI05Ao8

The reviewer was a little bias at the UI cause he likes the stock android. But IMO, Sony's UI looks more elegant than stock Android. XTZ is the most gorgeous looking tablet for now, that's what most reviewers are saying so no doubt about it.

I just bought the Xperia Tablet Z and all I can say it is simply amazing. The best tablet on the market. Sony has really stepped their game up and this year really shows it. They shocked the world with the Xperia Yuga and Odin (Z/ZL) showing the world that Sony is far from out. Now they bring out this baby. A water/dust resistant tablet, with the power to match even the best in its class (if not surpass). Doing all these great things while still showing that the snapdragon s4 pro is still great.

Really bothers me that people think Xperia Tablet Z is expensive... No it's not, compared to Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. It is £349 in the UK and the XTZ is 399 in the UK. XTZ has better specs. (camera, waterproof, lighter and higher res screen)

Also, Samsung galaxy note 10.1 was last years tab and it is still only £50 cheaper than the Sony. I really dont get it. XTZ isn't the most expensive out there.

AnonD-122510, 29 May 2013for me, i do believe RT extinct Atom based win 8 is the future for portable devices!!! if on... moreYup agreed, winRT is crap.

The next gen intel is supposed to lower battery consumption, so u might see win8 7 inches and long lasting win8 10 inches coming. Same could be said for android tablets... if they adopt intel.

One thing difference between atom /intel against arm processor is this:
                      1. Intel/atom consume almost same battery when under load or idle.
                      2. arm processor consume more battery underload.

The future lies with intel still.. win8 will live.. but rt will die.

Did your battery tests on the Xperia Tablet Z's Stamina mode? I'd just be interested to know how battery life is affected in normal mode vs stamina mode. Thanks for the good review!

Android 4.1 is an "improvement" over 4.2 for tablets..

Hopefully when the upgrades come, it still retain its current tablet UI.

The UI with the statusbar on top, and software keys below/middle is a crap design..
Its bad for touch and looks. Who ever thought about the tablet UI should be fired and shot.

In the Conclusion there are mentions of 4 Android tablets and 1 iOS tablet but no mentions of Windows Pro tablets.
Why is that? Maybe because Windows tablets are so good that they are comparable with real computers and not tablets?
