Disappointing. Phone is huge, especially for screen size. No significant pocketable advantage over HTC one. Ram is too little and they gimped the camera by removing optical stabilization. They should of dropped the stereo front speakers instead. The only thing it has going over the s4 mini is that it looks nice. Qhd vs 720p is not much of a compromise on a 4.3" device. I think s4 mini is the better buy if you value portability. The extra speed, ram, storage, ir blaster, and NFC is also a bonus.

One Mini is much much better than "S(Amdung)4 Mini"...S4 Mini, S3Mini, S5 mini all look like their predecessor mini ranges...

How the hell can you ppl compare the HTC One mini with the Galaxy S4 mini??
The HTC One mini costs £380 (Rs 35,000 approx) ...thats in the same range of galaxy S4 .
The s4 mini costs a lot lesser.
Comparison between Desire 600 and S4 mini will be more appropriate, as they are priced the same.

Just noticed the white polycarbonate rim contrasts bad against silver front grills. I think the black is the best version here.

As for me I realy want to buy this. Does it fit well in the hand? I also noticed lte and with the small mattery capacity I wonder what true life figures will be like.
I really liked the htc one. Never bought it had the LG Optimus G and it is amazing but one thing is it's quite large and big and want to downsize to something at 4.3''
I will wait for this to hit the shops and then experience it hands on and then decide to buy or not to buy. :)

1.7 ghz... moreI agree. I don't get why even the reviewers are making such a big deal about design. as many of us use cases anyway. I'm not saying that the manufacturers shouldn't focus on design but when even GSM Arena Preview says that the polycarbonate parts of the One Mini make it more durable, I think we should give the fully polycarbonated S4 Mini (meaning it is more durable than One Mini plus it has a better GPS signal etc.) a break.
I think the loss of OIS is another major downfall of One Mini. I take a lot of low light shots and pretty much the only reason I considered One Mini over S4 Mini (which I have now bought) was the camera and its low light capabilities. OIS usually plays a significant role in capturing good low light shots and because the One Mini doesn't have it, I'd imagine that the difference between low light shots of One and One Mini will be significant.

For me, storage is a deal breaker. Other than Nexus 1, never liked anything from HTC. I think S4 mini is in my near future to replace my Nexus 4.
