It depends on the update and region, most major update like from ICS to JellyBean is compulsory to use PC companion in my region (Singapore/Malaysia), while some minor update sometimes allow OTA updates. So far I face no issue on the PC companion, try to reinstall your PC companion or reinstall your phone driver on your pc.
" Xperia ZR can recognise a 64GB MicroSD card? A shop assistant told me if I put a brand new 64GB card in, and the phone asks to format, and clicking OK, the phone could recognise it"
Yes, currently Xperia phone only support 32GB max for NTFS format and 64GB max for FAT32 format. But you will be only be able to store maximum 4GB per file since it is the limitation of FAT32 storage, which means you will not able to store any file that is larger than 4GB size in your 64GB SDcard.

Jeanandroidfan, 31 Jul 2013it's better than they did not waste any money on a fail! And so Have done LG, great decisions! When Xbox first came in against Nintendo and playstation, that's what people thought, why develop games for Xbox...
Today things are different.
Windows phone has been around for very long and it was a leader in innovating the smart phone worlds through windows mobile, but they were never truly user-friendly oriented... And this is why they couldn't compete.
LG and Sony are not making a smart choice or a dumb one, they are simply focusing on mass production and offering what they think the masses want...
Once windows phone and windows for pc will have unified stores and once they polish and address the interface issues customers want, then you will see their market share rise and become a decent 10-15% in most markets... Not because it is a war for or against an OS, but simply because they have the potential to provide us users with decent quality software and hardware, and the simple diversity of our tastes will do the rest.
Great review, as usual!!
It was this review I was waiting for before i decided whether or not to bet on this exciting phone. Now I know what to do, I'm all in baby! =)

miro, 31 Jul 2013the phrasal adjective "mind blowing" has two words.LOL..
I don't know sony TV screen, all I know is their phone display color is washed.. No good.
The best LCD screen is in HTC phones, made by Sharp.
Called super LCD3!
Does this phone have a led strip? I couldn't find anywhere but the review says there is one.

Retail Package for RUSSIA has Charging Dock DK28 and Sony MH750 stereo headset.
MdN, 31 Jul 2013A good viewing angle is mostly useful for taking photos, when you're holding your phone above ... moreThat's not a problem, the viewing angles are not horrible, framing a photo from extreme angles isn't harder on Xperia than any other phone.
I am also planning to get his phone. but the only thing I fear is what if the USB and the HEADSET PORT flap covers breaks in the long run. Previously I was using an NOKIA 5320XM, there also i found after 1 yr the USB cover broke.
Please comment or advice.
