Folks, I think you overrate the battery test. That result means that it has excellent score in all areas, but has weaker standby mode which drains somewhat faster. That's all. It still means you can watch movies for 10 hours no problem. Plus I am not all that sure this test is all that precise. Saw different results on other sites for some phones.

      Battery suxxx. Do not buy.
Battery of Moto X is what camera is for HTC Butterfly S.
They both suck big time and ruin their respective devices completely.

Here we go again. Do not ever trust those xx% better battery promises. 39 hours endurance rating is pretty bad, it's between Lumia 820 and 620. That alone is really a deal breaker, especially since the battery is not user accessible.

about the battery test, is it right? Just 39h of endurance rating with good score in web browsing and video playback!?!?!?!?!

This is a good phone but the price does not match it current spec.

Good try Moto, Good bye Moto.

39h? are you serious motorola? Dissapointing, and, if you're selling it in 600$? Well, i think this phone should be priced at most at 500$, it'd be a success.

Whatever will happen to this X-thing when the mother of all monster phones, the Galaxy Note III, comes? It would make a great second phone, though, but who would pay that much money for a second phone? Certainly, not me. So, hello Moto, and goodbye Moto, nice try though, Moto.

The price should not have been more than 400 USD for the 32 GB version. There are far more good alternatives at over 500 USD price point. Its an epic fail by Motorola. The thing that they have to understand is that they are not Apple. ..

This seems like a very good device, with very good software and extra task cores. Battery is good, but the stand by seems very low, because of the standby would be even average this should have an endurance of around 50 hours. Performance between last years quad-cores and this years quad-cores. So around the same as Qualcomm S4 pro.

The Moto X is gonna be like a Nokia N9, who ever likes it (loves it) will take it and will be satisfied for some time, then they will want something better with similar/same software features.
                                  Good luck Mooto

It doesn't really matter if it has good ergonomics.. When you have HTC One in your hands it feels premium, but when you have this it feel well..just comfortable. Nothing more.
If you want something customizable you can buy an etui, in a few week you will not notice design anyway.
And nobody will ever use voice control after fist week.
And those three are its phones strongest selling points.
It would be a perfect phone for sub 400$ off-contract but with this price it just can not compete with other better and much cheaper phones.

Melvin, 23 Aug 2013Hey, do you know if the Moto X has OTG support? I'd bet on a yes. 4.1 and above have native OTG support, I believe.
