I've a GPro and audio loudness is below aver... morecan be simply increased by rooting the phone....lots of apps out their to do it.
(rooting methods are as easy as a one step click for root and unroot).

LG are frequently underestimted in the technology world including the smartphone market. This is unfortunate as they have over thw years produced many innovative devices. Their LG KU990 Viewty was launched as one of the world's first touchscreen devices for the mainstream market not running windows which also incorporated a Xenon flash on its camera. Their LG KP750 Secret set new standards for build quality and their Optimus G offering is clearly high end. The G2 should fly off the shelves.

About cartoonish UI, it's just theme.
You can change the theme, and each theme have own icon pack. More than 10 Theme available for Optimus UI. Just like this for sample

The phone which gets released later is always supposed to be better. don't see it as 2012 or 2013 but see it as s4 released 6 months after optimus g and g2 released 5- 6 months after s4. g2 is of course Supposed to be better. I am not a Samsung fanboy and I loathe touchwiz because it's too heavy. but other than touchwiz s4 is almost perfect phone.
The epic battle of the year: lg g2 vs xperia z1 vs galaxy s4.
lg g2: great battery life, processor and button placement. Also very fast ui.
z1: great camera, processor, design, waterproof, sd card and very professional looking and good ui.
s4: thinnest, smallest and lightest still packing removable battery, microsd slot, great loudness and music performance. Very feature rich ui. and neatly oriented.
cons: g2: glossy plastic, loudspeaker, autofocus issues, camera worse than s4 (still camera. see gsmarena's compare tool), quiet music output, slow update cycle, cartoony ui(looks even worse than touchwiz)
s4: laggy ui(slightly but feels slower compared to g2 or z ultra), glossy plastic as well as boring design, fm radio(minor con)
z1: can't say anything much but too big and heavy, speaker will not be good( expectation) , very featureless ui

THIS PHONE REALLY FANTASTIC BLAZING SUPER FAST THE CAMERA IS EXCELLENT! THE DISPLAY IS WAY BETTER THAN XPERIA Z UTRA.
my Battery can lasted for almost 3 days!
Web browsing lasted for almost 13hours in my personal experienced.
music player is magnefico!
i love dual hd video recording!
the design is super beautiful elegant and very comfortable in palm hand.
the back buttons are really useful very easy using my index left finger.
I LEFT SONY FOR LG !
i m now officially become an lg fan!
i love my LG G2 morethan my all previous sony phones( Z & Z UTRA)

Horrible ui, awkward eccentric ergonomics, full of gimmicks, simply a bad copy of samsung crap, like that wasnt bad enough already.
Still, great cam, really, unfortunately its ruined by the video focus issues, LG already proved that they cant/wont fix that. And, the cam isnt gonna stand up to Z1.
Then software updates, dont buy an LG before they upgraded G Pro to 4.3, this time i think its fair that LG is forced to prove that they has improved.
Not that its gonna matter, it will not be available for a long long time, even G Pro is not yet available here, believe it or not.
