AnonD-161447, 14 Sep 2013The 808 pureview is no match for this in lowlight. Will have to wait about 1020.No flash, that is.
Looks like this time the team received the prototype handset for review eralier than the Xperia Z last time. That's a great news, so people will read the review and consider it before placing a pre-order.
To GSMArena team, please make the Battery Test ASAP. As for Xperia Z it happened as the result appeared after the pre-order sessions have ended in most part of the world.
If Pureview is so good, is should be selling.
Currently, the sales figures coming out is just sad.
Very sad. Fortunately, we have a new king of smartphones camera, Xperia Z1.
well... it's turn out that the camera wasn't that good.
typical sony (erisson) algorithm processing.
they need to hire people with better knowledge about image algorithm processing.
Anonymous, 13 Sep 2013What sentence in this preview led you to that conclusion? He obviously didn't read the reviews. Haha
Well, I guess I'm able to answer your doubts,
1. Does the screen support use of any pen as stylus like in Z Ultra?
Ans: Simply no....
2. Does Z1 have stock android browser or just Chrome?
Ans: Not 100% sure, but I believe it only have Chrome only since ZU only have Chrome only.
More low light real photos of the Z1 ... no doubt thats a real competitor to the lumia1020
MdN, 14 Sep 2013Sorry, but if you look at them at full size... digital noise, oversharpening, blown highlights... moreTrust me ... am an x-owner of the 808 this kind of shots are not achieved with 808 unless u set it to long exposure on tripod. 808 is so bad at night shots and wasnt developed for night shots.
808 wins only in cropping and well light scenarios or when a scene is catch able with its mighty xenon. But in low light Z1 wins.
AnonD-5465, 14 Sep 2013Here ! The Xperia Z1 low light samples. Thats Phenomenal !
http://www.xperiablog.net/2013/... moreSorry, but if you look at them at full size... digital noise, oversharpening, blown highlights, the only decent thing on this one is the lines on the road.
This is actually worse than those photos where Z1 "defeated" the 808. On that VietSony blog.

This is a good phone, and a good camera (with the usual Sony processing, argh), but it looks like it makes the usual trolls turn into hypertrolls. :-)

Sony is going in right direction. I am Nokia user (Lumia 920 and it is a great device) and once Nokia is gone I might consider Sony next year.
Sony has great camera also, but at the moment there is no match for Nokia pure view in camera department!

Where are these fake shotouts paid by Sony, wheres your proof?
We know too well who is the real fake here, not ment for you personally but for Lumia fans in general.

Ok just wait for more, let the beating continue.
MdN, 14 Sep 2013Here you go, 808 vs 1020 in low light: http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/features/item/18320_Ultr... moreWhats that? Silhouettes against a fairly well lit sunset? And then the rest is xenon flash tests? Whats the point of these photos?
