With the new 2-in-1's coming out including their detachable keyboards, running full x86 windows, having 11+hour battery-life, all starting at 349.. seriously, whatever Microsoft is using that extra 150 for, it ISN'T paying somebody to think.

faster than 95% of laptops, now wait, how so.... the processors don't come even close to any basic 3rd gen notebook offerings,, nor does the ram,, if ur speaking about the app performance or response,, well is it now how a tablet should perform, but that don't necessarily mean its faster than all the laptops,, pc>laptop>smartphone hardware wise let it be mac or windows pc, not saying about the software or user interface, i hate when such big and prestigious companies make so foul claims, tablets is meant to have a lite user interface which is faster and the apps are more responsive , they are to be optimized that way.

They could've made the rt replacement using the new Atom chip for the same price, used full windows but less free software, and it would be awesome! Instead they'll trick a couple people into getting an rt, who'll then give the surface overall terrible reviews, and the rest of their customers will have to choose between the very expensive pro or simply find a different brand for a significant savings.

I'm getting the new Surface pro2. I wanted the first one but the battery life was stupid. If it has 7-8 hours of battery time and a similar or lower price compared to the old Surface Pro, i'm buying this ASAP :D

It says very clearly in the article that the surface 2 is running Windows RT, and if you google anything about them you find the distinction between the two. I'm sorry, but if someone gets one without knowing which OS it runs, it's entirely their own fault.

Why not just let it run Windows 8.1 since now Haswell has given the the Pro better battery life, why not just give the 2 different tablet different specs.
