Rumor: Oppo Find X6 Pro to use the SD 8 Gen 2, the vanilla Find X6 the 8+ Gen 1

Oppo Android Rumors

Oppo unveiled the Find X5 series this February, so the X6 series can be expected around the same time next year. The first reports of what the phones will be like are already circulating on Weibo with predictions of using two generations of Snapdragon 8-series chips.

The flagship Oppo Find X6 Pro is expected to get the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, of course. It will probably have a 2K display (i.e. QHD+) and a camera with a 1” sensor. According to Digital Chat Station, Oppo, vivo and Xiaomi are all working on phones with 1” cameras for next year (Xiaomi already launched the 12S Ultra this year).

As for the vanilla Oppo Find X6, this one is expected to use the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, according to Digital Agent 007. Oppo is rumored to be working on a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 version of the Find X5 (the original phone uses the 888), but the fast approaching Find X6 may obsolete it pretty quickly. Anyway, it is said to have a 1.5K display, a newly emerging term for 1,220px horizontal resolution.

The Find X5 Pro is Oppo's only phone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (so far), there are no 8+ Gen 1 phones The Find X5 Pro is Oppo's only phone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (so far), there are no 8+ Gen 1 phones

The Find X5 Pro also has a version with the Dimensity 9000 chipset. MediaTek almost certainly has a sequel chip in the works, so it’s possible that Oppo will use it as well for one of the Find X6 series.

Whatever chips the X6 flagships arrive with, they will most likely also feature custom MariSilicon for image processing as a standout feature for its Hasselblad camera. We haven’t heard much on the matter yet, however.

I like Oppo flagships, they should start to make the phones a little bit wider as their current X5 pro it's too narrow in my opinion. Something like the mate 50 pro or s22+ would be perfect. I would love to see a phone with double selfie ca...
