BTW Did anybody mention that My X-8 casing is not in some kind of cheap plastic but Aluminium!!! 8 )

I never go for a Suikei b4 and never intended to cos i don't see any point. The seller will change some inferior parts i.e. the battery etc. Anyway I don't think there's any suikei for Sagem.
Honestly, i haven't actually try playing MP3 long enough to test the battery but compare with the battery life of my 1st Sagem phone My X-6, My X-6 battery life is anytime better than My X-8. Don't understand why My X-6 type of battery is not design into My X-8. The battery strength of My X-6 was something like 1280AmH (which obviously is better) compare to 900Amh of My X-8.
If you stay in Selangor, (not sure if there's any authorise dealer in other state) you should try to get the phone from PhoneStar instead. I tried to get from lots of other shop but they have to order it for you.

if u want my opinion, this phone is UGLY if u r comparing it to the Sam D500 and SE K700i, u r wrong man, it's uncompareable, u see that Sam is more stylish and has better features than SE such as the higher memory (96 MB) while the Se has only 41 MB, it has a gr8 camera and it's Samsung for god's sake

Hey..
just want to know if the phone do not support a mini-sd card from take-ms.
I have a take-ms 128 mb mini-sd card and it works fine in my computer, but when i put it in the phone it do not work
please.. can sombody help?

Please tell me about a cell phone with as high as or better screen resolution, than MYX-8. I mean number of pixels, number of colours and the screen size, all the three parameters should be accounted for.

Sagem is great. I am using MYX-7 for the last one year, and soon I will buy MYX-8. User of Sagem for now almost 2 years. Never had problems. One question: Is there a phone in the market with a screen resolution as high as MYX-8?

Blindspot : Suikei? underwater machine? :P was thinking of getting mine some time soon but hopefully from official distributor, i asked recently and the orice qouted was RM1699, with 1 year warranty. problem is, many shop don't have the model anymore (out of stock they say)
When you use the phone to listen to MP3s does the battery life drop dramcatically?

Well I think I have to clarify some of the questions around:
>> 1) Is the phone compatible with Macintosh computer, iMac G5?
Definitly YES. It works perfectly well with my G4 iBook and the build in Bluetooh. You can download Sagem "My Pictures And Sounds (MPAS)" for Mac at planetsagem.com.
The Wellphone Software Package that mainly brings you Outlook synchro is not available on Mac. But the MyX-8 supports SyncML, so I think you might be able to sync it with your Mac somehow. Never tried it, only used MPAS.

You can transfer all kinds of video and audio files or pictures, ringtones etc.
Never tried synchro on the Mac.

1GB miniSD will be available soon. The phone should support them without probs. It definitly supports 512MB. No crashes yet.

Never tried that. Ask me via ICQ if this is still of any interest. I will try it out when asked.

Don't understand that question. Via Bluetooth or cable you only can transfer stuff to the build in memory of the phone. The miniSD Card needs an external card reader. But that's no flaw IMHO because the card reader is way faster than cable or bluetooth. What I don't like about that compared to e.g. Nokia is that you cannot save pictures or videos taken with the build in cam directly to the sd card. But you can copy all media files from the phone to the sd card an vice versa.
You will only need the cable to update the firmware. All other data transfer can be done via bluetooth.
Btw. no batterie heat problems with my phone. No network problems either, very good signal ratio, way better than my Samsung SGH-E700.

just got myself a my-x8 and i just simply love it! this is my first sagem phone and it's not going to be my last. i am impressed! cool looks and features. only complaint is the weak volume from the audio player when using earphones.
