Samsung Android Mobile hardware

Samsung has just released the Exynos 9825 chipset, hours before the Unpacked event where the Galaxy Note10 will be announced. The new SoC is built on the 7nm EUV process node and is an upgrade over the 8nm Exynos 9820 with a faster Mali-G76 MP12 GPU.

The platform is first in the industry with the EUV processing technology, albeit not being the first on the 7 nm process - the Exynos 9820 was built on the 8 nm LPP process. Samsung said the 9825 will bring improved gaming experience and graphics performance in a power-efficient package, meaning the upgraded chip is more about improving efficiency rather than pushing the benchmark numbers significantly higher.

The CPU cluster remains the same - two M4 Cheetah cores, two Cortex-A75 and four Cortex-A55 units. Since Samsung does not say anything about clock speeds, we are pretty sure they remained the same as in the Exynos 9820.

The LTE modem is the Shannon 5000 with Cat.20 downlink and Cat.13 uplink, but 5G connectivity can be achieved only when the chip is paired with the Exynos Modem 5100, expected to arrive in the Galaxy Note10+ 5G.

You clearly don't understand what you are talking about here. This isn't just 1nm change. It's an entire fabrication change. And the 9820 is bigger than 8nm suggests. It's about 50mm bigger than the 73mm 7nm socs. And it's not just about cloc...

I've read the article and it's a marketing game for sure. Don't tell me by changing the fabrication by 1nm you'll get more powerful chip by 100 time at least add a different transistor

First of all... that's adreno vs mali. You said snapdragon and exynos. Yes adreno is still going to almost for sure still be faster. And at the very least more sustainable. But that does not describe the whole package. And this will close th...
