Samsung C100 - user opinions and reviews

Wow, I've bought it yesterday! It is great, exactly what I need and want. just a few issues:
1\ User Menu - you can choose just from a list of items, not o use any item of all the menu as T39
2\Why is backlight 2 colours? Blue display and orange keyboard - it is terrible. I bought Ice Blue because of that everything's blue.
3\ Why is not possible to use the volume tab during typing to scroll thru the letters, like in case of T39?

I have the phone for a month I noticed many reception problems tha calls does not complete normally sudden turn off happens slow sms view display is good in the dard outdoor view is almost impossible battery is moderate I think buying this phone after nokia 6310 is a real mistake nokia 6000 series are the best for a professional ericsson tried hard but still long way to go

A very nice phone .. excellent looks ... good features at a small price ... this is how I would rate this phone ... the ring tones are excellent; all of them, every tone better than the other, I have seen SE T310 but its ringtones are not loud enough as compared to C100 which have poly tones with loud volume. This phone is light weight, can use gprs also ... also you can use datacable to put images and ring tones to it from your pc. Although I have not tried this but this is what I have heard and this is what their help file says. Some features are however missing like sending ringontes, sending mms (we can always receive mms on this phone), composer is missing .... overall at this price I woul give this phone 9/10. Samsung well done.

samsung dont really have any experience in makin fones do they. luk, all there fones are either flip and most have an areal, and wen they dont, like this one the reception is poor. i mean come on, areals are like so last century ;p
as for this fone, here are the bad points in my opinion:

bad battery life...i mean if ya gonna make it so slim at least get a new type of battery that will work with it
cannot recieve pics or forward them?!?
whats the point?
keypad could do with a change...samsung ten to keep them the same on every single model...agen, why?!?!
the screen is actaully very small which agen questions the point of a color screen...why?!?!?!?
no camera or camera attachment
now, as for the good points:
its a fone that little kids cud afford and cud say that they have a colour screen :P
the wall papers and animations as u scroll thru the menu are quite good
the color quality of the actual fone is good..tho, the point is...
it is very light
nice and slim
gud that it has infra red
ring tones are just OK
and there u have it. i think that if u want a fone packed with the latest techno then DONT GET THIS FONE! it will suit the younger market i think.
in my opinion i thin that a sony erricson or even nokia fone wud be better,tho sony erricson is the way...trust!
i think that u shud wait for the new year wen models will come out and then u will be in there
look up the sony erricson t360...looks amazin and i think will be well worth the wait, thanks 4 readin

i think that sony erricson fones are well better than samsung phones and especially this one.
i think that sony erricson have better ring tones and the phones look nicer and different too.
think that as this phone is so cheep it must lack features, which i actually think it does.

the slimness is amazing, however. . .
it cud ave better battery life as the phone is so slim the battery dont last all that long and therefore needa chargin very often :s
sometimes the data can get too full too quick wiv certain size txts?! very annoyin.
wheres the mms 4 it? very bad let down on this part.
sum may argue wots the point in a colour screen if u cant recieve or send pics. . .
the overall all design cud be more compact :p i.e. samsung change sum of your features! the keypads are always the same on each of your phones!! :p

Im 16 year old girl from UK and currently have s samsung A800. it is gud but does not have many gud features and ringtones are awful :s i need a new phone! i want one next year. do u thn=ink the sony erricson T360 would be a gud choice?

Believe it or not... After 3 months of flawless work this phone just DIED. Just switched itself off... and thats it. If you press ON button, LED flashes yellow 2-3 times, screen goes gray and switches itself off in a few seconds. No charger, no battery replacement helped. I feel like crying now, I have no idea what could have happened - I treated the phone with extreme care, never dropped it and never let any water onto/into it. I left it for RMA at the service and now I am just sitting and waiting. I am very confused what could I do if this "sudden death" happens again after my warranty expires. I am really confused :-( Why you did it, Samsung? I trusted you...

good looking phone and scores 10points for not being a flip phone as im a sales consultant at vodacom and alot of samsung sales are lost due to the fact that all the phones come in a flip mode fashion(people dont trust moving parts & the inconvenience of flipping each time for any reason puts them off). many thanx to samsung, you are my favourite brand esp.for dvd&74cm tv.
