I am in Vietnam and presently comparing the Samsung C100 and Nokia 6610. Personally I prefer the C100 'cause its better LCD with 65K colors and better ring tones and ofcouse its cheaper price. But what I got from others' opinions is that the battery life is so poor. Can anyone please tell me if it is true? Thanks a lot.
Slim Budget phone = FRIENDLY!
I have been using a Samsung phone for some time before I moved to Siemens SL45 and was on the lookout for a new phone. I am currently comparing the SGH-C100 and the Nokia 6610.
I tested out both phones, and on usability the Samsung C100 seems far better even if MMS was missing (not a priority for me).
But I was reading up the reviews (only two were found one from uk.gsmbox.com and another in mobile-review.com) and these pointed out that the C100 has a very poor battery time (2 days for normal use), network search and reception is very poor, it freezes when the network is lost and the search is initiated, and also that the T9 dictionary cannot be updated.
Compartively the 6610 issue is only that it does not support EMS picture messaging, the display is less colourful (naturally 65K vs 4096 colors) and its buttons are not as easy to use as the C100.
The battery life issue with the C100 I can live with, but can anybody confirm on the T9 update issue, the freezing when network search happens and on the poor reception, as these are very notable ommissions.
Also does anybody know how much memory this has for pictures, games, etc?
good phone isn,t it

Btw, for sure I know US only supports GSM 1900!!! Too bad........

hi
From where i can download Games, wallpapers,Ringtons, etc
tell me plz
I wanna know how much does it cost
C100 just arrived Vietnam here in Aug: the price varies from $190 to $230! (no line), small screen, normal shape and color but wonderful ringtones! yes!!! but the "name" menu which is activated by the right softkey is soooo slooooooow at the first activating after the phone turned on!(about one minute or more, not good, why?!) but at all, the price is equal to its quality!
feature : price = equal
fitur yang lengkap dalam harga yang pantas. Hebat! Korean arise...!
I agree with RichoCheah's opinion. I'm a Malaysian. I want the Madarin SMS support. Can anyone tell me is it the software prob. or i just need to wait until h/p get upgraded? In the language selection, there are no any madarin can selected. SOS~ Some body pls tell me, thanx.

Anybody trying the C100 infrared ?
I can't use it because I don't know where to get the driver for Windows XP ?
Sorry people. It WOULD BE a nice and good phone but what about that very short talk time??? I talk on phone every day minimum 3 hours. So? What are the experiances fellows??
yuds , i am quite sure that you want to get rid of your C55 cause its whispering ringtones. But to be true this phone wouldn't be your best choice, its colorfull but its battery suffers.I too changed my C55, and i kind of miss it right now.use Nokias or motorolas for colored phone , or buy some blue backligthed samsungs its the best .
