Anonymous, 19 Apr 2010Someone pls give the procedure to upgrade the Firmware of the C5212. There are some real good ... moreTo upgrade this phone you will need:
1) OneNAND downloader specifically for this mobile
2) A compatible flash cable (the USB data cable WON'T do, look for the flash cable for D880)
3) Latest firmware, which is C5212XBJA2
- Use C: drive as an option in the flasher
- Choose both Master and Slave flash, and for both choose BIN + TFS.
- Choose the paths to the firmware files (.cla and .tfs) accordingly, for Master and Slave.
- Connect the cable (with its drivers installed)
- Select the correct COM port for the cable, can be seen in Device Manager
- Press START
- Press the power button briefly.
- Flash the mobile.

for text message: you dont have to reboot as well, after pressing to "create message" you can then push the upper right button (the one that you also use in rebooting)of the phone then you can see on your screen that it will shift from one sim to the other... just choose which sim you want to use then you can continue your message..
THis phone is really nice..

just type the number and press the default Sim key (the button is present the right side top of the C5212 mobile) to change the default Sim. You note that the network signal was highlighted -- (see on the top left screen there is a network signal that was highlighted that was changed when you press the Sim Card Management Button)

I have used this phone for about 3 months now. I used to charge it for couple of hours every alternate day, now I keep it on charge for 4 hours or more, and it lasts for 3 days instead of 2.
It is an excellent phone, good value for money.

I have downloaded the s... moreFirst install New Samsung PC Studio software which includes installation of samsung modem usb drivers. Then start Mobiledit software. Connect ur mobile via USB cable or bluetooth. Wait few seconds till ur mobile is detected by Mobiledit software. I am using it through USB cable. I can easily save all inbox and sentbox sms as a txt file on PC. Mobiledit software is faster than New Samsung PC Studio as far as retrieving phonebook n text messages r concerned. USMAN AFZAL
hey people theres a switch located at the right upper side of the phone...you can choose wether sim one or sim 2 so that there will be no need to rebooting your phone...it can be use when you want to call using any of the two sims in your phone likewise in text messaging...that switch is very helpful indeed,
