I bought a C5212 recently. It has only standby Dual SIM feature, which means we cannot make calls or send messages from both SIMs simultaneously, but can only receive calls and messages simultaneously. We have to choose a default SIM from the two and can make calls from that one only. To make calls from the other SIM, we have to go to SIM manager and choose the other SIM as default, after which the phone reboots in 2 to 3 minutes. Now, the second SIM will allow us to make calls and first one will not. In case this feature is not as I have written above, please comment so that I can know if there is a way to use both SIMs for calls without selecting one as default and rebooting the phone.
on my screen alphabet E is appearing and the second Sim card is not active, what should I do to make work?
Anonymous, 18 May 2010im planning to buy this phone because of the dual sim feature. more important to me is that it... moreIt is a very good phone. Both the sim will work nicely, Only the negative points are:
1. 1.3 MP Camera is very poor, even my old Nokia-6600's VGA camera is better than it.
2. Manual is very short and doesnot say everything.
i want to sell my samsung c5212 now, any one who want to buy then reply fast.
im planning to buy this phone because of the dual sim feature. more important to me is that it will be able to use two sims simultaneously with all the incoming and outgoing calls and messages from two sims. does it work?
Can I connect my c5212 to my laptop? Is there a USB cord that I can use?
I'd used the c5212 for about 2 weeks before a friend told me you can switch from one sim to the other by pressing the button by the side after punching the number you intend to call. I didn't get this from the manual....I'd been switching from the sim management which takes about a minute because the phone has to reboot.
sen, 15 May 2010This phone is very good. But if you want to make a call using SIM2 you have to switch off and ... moreno.you dont have to reboot your phone just dail or select the number from your phone.press the right side button and it changes from sim 1 to sim 2 and u can repeat the same to go back to sim 1
I have this mobile. Can anyone please tell where is the symbol "_" for using while emails on this phone. Please help!
My humble suggestion! Please dont go for this mobile. Samsung dual technology is still far behind the ordinary chinese dual sim phones. I am telling you my personal experience. Dont buy any samsung dual sim phone...!!!!
If you need a dual sim.....go for any chinese phone..
(Samsung has very good phones in single sim).
im considering buying this phone so please give me an honest reply.
i had read that this phone can only store up to 4 playlist with a max of 30 songs for ewach playlist. is there a way that you can save 200 songs and play them all without saving it on a playlist? nokia phones allow you to create playlist but if you want to play all the saved songs, you can just press the option 'play all'.
thanks in advance
sen, 15 May 2010This phone is very good. But if you want to make a call using SIM2 you have to switch off and ... moreYou can call by sim2 without rebooting mobile. just type mobile number and press right side top key. its changes to sim1 and sim2
This phone is very good. But if you want to make a call using SIM2 you have to switch off and again reboot the phone which takes about 2-3 minutes time. Only incoming calls and messages are received by both sims simultaneous. Outgoing calls from SIM2 is not readily available. I bought this phone without knowing this.
Me too. Sold off for 20% less. am happy i got rid of this sick phone.
Sayem, 12 May 2010Does it support incoming call in SIM1, while SIM2 is on call? Is it shows Unreachable/busy?Yes you can recieve call on other sim while talking on a sim.
Guys, i spoke to the Samsung people. The battery life also depends on the SIM you use. People using Docomo and BSNL will be likely to get LOW BATTERY life as it consumes more bandwidth.
Airtel and Vodafone would work fine and in any case, you would get 4 hours of talk time / 1.5 to 2 days of battery.
Here are some tips.
Avoid using vibrator as it consumes a lot of power.
Turn off your cell in the night.
Don't use this as a music device. Listen to songs sparingly.
Reduce the display brightness to minimum, which itself is so bright.
Recharge the cellphone only when the battery power goes below 2 or 1 sticks.
Store the device in cool place.
Follow the above tips and am sure you would get decent battery life. You would not get excellent battery life like you would get from LAVA, KARBONN, MICROMAX etc, but its not bad either.
If you not satisfied, well, for for LAVA / KARBONN. And live with the cranky OS !
Yeah yeah! Charge you batteries for 12 hours, and then throw it in your dustbin! What rubbish people talk in here! charging for 12 hours!!! LOL ...Li-Ion batteries require just 3 hours of initial charging and then on, charge when you have just one bar remains.
This phone is NOT reliable in terms of battery back up. I do not advise people to go for this and waste their money.
