Samsung publishes high reparability score for upcoming Galaxy A54

The Samsung Galaxy A54 has been leaking for months, but for some reason the company still hasn't made it official. Hopefully that happens soon. For now, we have another bit of info about the device, and this one comes straight from Samsung. Specifically, its official website in France.

The company has uploaded a calculation of the Galaxy A54's reparability score, done according to the specific French standards. This has resulted in the document you can see below.

The A54 in the end gets an 8.4 out of 10 mark, which is, interestingly, higher than what the Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra score. Both of those only managed 8.2 out of 10, just like the A54's predecessor, the Galaxy A53 from last year.

So things seem to be marginally improving from year to year, and it also looks like Samsung's mid-rangers are ever so slightly more reparable than its flagships, at least when it comes to the French criteria.

The report lists a lot of positives, but the main negatives have to do with the tools needed for a repair, as well as the way in which the different parts are laid inside the phone. Opening it up is also said not to be a very easy affair. Otherwise, it seems to be all good, pretty much.

The Galaxy A54 has so far been rumored to come with a 6.6-inch (or thereabouts) FHD+ AMOLED screen with 120 Hz refresh rate, the Exynos 1380 SoC, 6GB to 8GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage, a triple rear camera system (with a wide, an ultrawide, and a macro - no depth sensor this time around), a single hole-punched selfie cam, and a 5,100 mAh battery, though with just 25W charging.
