zvi, 29 Jan 2011WTF is grip sensor? For what?To tell me how much I'm strong? But it looks to be a good phone. The grip sensor activates the bottom LCD which can QUICKLY open messages, missed calls, or the local weather... without having to turn on the main LCD, a good battery saver

I don't think this would work in the Philippines. The PH uses GSM/UMTS and this phone has neither. It's in CDMA, so it doesn't use any SIM card
Anonymous, 10 Jan 2011CDMA equipped phones have a very quite different working type than GSM. GSM phones use sim car... moreCDMA does use SIM cards.
AWS, CDMA, and GSM are different type of radio frequencies that carriers/phones use.
CDMA equipped phones have a very quite different working type than GSM. GSM phones use sim cards to get signal and provide the communication while CDMA phones use no sim cards and are in contact with the network that supplies communication for immobile home phones. This kind of (CDMA) phones are like your settled home phone which you can carry whereever you go as far as I know.

nath, 27 Dec 2010what's the difference whether the phone is GSM or not?? help pls.. i'm from philippines =Dthink of it as a an upgraded, digital version of the old PHILTEL & EXTELCOM cell service of the 90's. doesn't use any sim cards like globe or all the rest of the mobile providers in the phils now. so NO, you can't use this phone in the philippines.
